When was the last time you were really vulnerable with someone?

Whether family member, a friend, or a stranger even?

I was about to cry in therapy recently, but I felt so self conscious, thinking how they might feel, over myself. I've been doing that ALL my life and I think at some point I need to be vulnerable for my own spirit and heart and mind.

Spouse, but I think that with the rules of marriage and trust.

If you can't open up to your spouse or to each other. You don't belong together.

Once the lines of communication shut down, the marriage falls apart.

It don't have to be a marriage either. It can be your best friend, your mom, your sister or anyone your close to.

Don't stop talking, cause that's when its truly over

I remember i had a break down during final year of engineering college. I remember the friend i was opening out to whem i wept.

I met him this year for the first rime after college. More than 35 years later. We talked of many things. But not that.

I have never been that vulnerable ever since. Except in solitude. Had sometimes tried to open up to spouse - but thats a different story. No more.

a couple of months back, i told my dad that i cried because i was so nasty to him. one day i just snapped.

crying is pretty much expected in therapy.
every time i've been at therapy there is a box of tissues on the table.🙂

Therapists are used to it. Let it out if you need to cry coral.

It takes an awful lot to make me cry. I don’t even remember the last time

The other night with my partner. We had a real heart to heart and my struggles and what we need to do to get himself help and support

Crying is a good release of emotions. Whether you're upset, depressed, frustrated, overjoyed, etc. crying is great way to let it all out and afterwards you may be surprised at how much better you feel.

It's been a very, very long time. I need a good, long hug, reassurance and another good, long hug. Gosh that makes me feel like I'm about to cry. 🫂
Coralmist · 41-45, F
@twiigss You mean you need a hug to be vulnerable with someone, or just need one overall? 🫂🌸
twiigss · M
@Coralmist I just need one overall but with a partner or companion

I dont see a connection as being vulnerable.
