I'm not happy with my life

I lived in first world but with a toxic, sociopath cruel mother. My life has been a nightmare. I have chronic PTSD as an adult from years of threats, gaslighting, control, extreme ridicule etc.
She would rage so much and once threatened to kill me. It is extremely hard just getting by day to day, I feel nonhuman.
I am unemployed so things are very tight financially. People say just take baby steps to find joy or confidence but this affected every part of life, not only work or only dating etc. So it feels overwhelming try ing to heal all of it. But I'm going to keep on, day by day even a little.

Some of the most wonderful people emerge from bad circumstances like that, I wish you well, for the way away from the problems and better times to become reality.

My late teens were rough too, my mom gave me hell .. i ran away.. even tho america is considered a first world country there are poor people here as well and my family is among them .. anyway i ran away.. it’s not safe for everyone (a lot of run aways become victims or killed but i survived probably because im more wary than most people but also maybe God protected me too idk ) sorry your family is giving you hell.. it’s hard when one is young and don't have much options .. do you have other family you can stay with or are they also the hellish type?

You just need to realise that you are a free bird and that you need to flutter your wings and fly off. Nothing will change in life if you keep remaining where you are. Take incidences of girls eloping from home for good and face the consequences all along in life. So get out and start rescuing people from life instead of waiting for some one to resume you.
