Yes. Lol My latest craving was chips with French onion dip the way my dad used to have. I’m not supposed to eat that, and it’s messed up my stomach. 😬 It was good though. 🤤 I just like delicious food too much.
If I analyze the things I am craving, I know what my body actually needs, and then I can substitute something healthy for something that's unhealthy. In your case, you are craving fat and fried bread and cheese and red meat.
You could probably get what your body needs by buying roast beef at the deli, and making a half a sandwich with havarti or swiss cheese slice.
If you create a pininterest page for yourself you can find all kinds of copycat recipes. You can pick easy recipe ranges . It really isn't that hard to make one. For diabetics you can substitute some of the ingredients for no sugar added or lower carb /multigrain bread.
Yep , a GOOD cheeseburger with some (not possible now) old timey Kraft yellow mustard and Heinz ketchup with a side of FF with seasoned salt and a "pony" miller...lol.
They're everywhere in the Portland area, Shari's has the best ones, and Awesome French Dips too, Pretty much every suburb has at least one location. There was one about a block from my hs and a bunch of us would go there during lunch hour, I usually had the French dip with grilled onions and melted Swiss, and a couple packets of saltines for the aus jus when I finished the sammich.
@Musicman My three most favorite sammiches are French dips, sourdough patty melts, and hot pastrami with meunster on seeded rye, my favorite burger is a bacon and runny fried egg Tillamook cheddar breakfast cheeseburger with the works, and my favorite sub is a Philly cheesesteak, for a hoagie it's tuna.
@NativePortlander1970 favorite sandwich with probably be a club. Favorite subs would be Turkey, Chicken Philly and Italian. Burger would a Cheeseburger with all the fixings and a Patty Melt. 😋😋😋😋
