@Dlrannie Self employed as an individual or part of a partnership can't be an employee of him/herself per IRS rules. You either own the business or you work for the business, but you can't be both.

I always have fun with forms that ask "employer?" where I often put an "?"

Same here. I go by "Me" now. Confusing to many. But it's most accurate.
