I'm not perfect by far but I have good intentions

Yes. I think my wife and I are good people.

My heart is in a well meaning place.

There are some things I need to work on, but there is a certain naiveness attached to my deep goodness that makes me confused and frustrated a lot. But I know it's because I care for others and I haven't adapted to the "I don't care about anyone but me and mine" lifestyle.
