If the majority of our time is spent looking at others, worrying, analyzing and policing their behavior, we will have little time for self awareness and improvement. Our own motivations/behavior. Or even projecting our faults onto others. We NEVER change or fix anything by concentrating on others (perceived) issues. Focusing there doesn't strengthen our own mental or emotional maturity and intelligence, it weakens it.
I have been working hard on this for the past few years. Progress is slow because it’s so deeply ingrained that I am worthless and alone if no one likes me. It has been the truth at times, especially concerning my family. But I continue to face myself and look deeply at the behaviors I want to change 🖤
@RebelFox Aw it's hard for us humans, I know. We have to face some truths. But I respect your attitude immensely and your effort. I always see you as smart, this proves it. 💝🤗
Yeah that's why I love my journals, allows me to understand myself and my past thoughts.. Behaviors.. Present.. See my own motivations.. Feels nice to have that.
So true! And... we can be our own worst enemies and harshest critics, so being mindful of that as well is a good thing. I guess recognizing those patterns and learning from them is a way to deeper understanding. ☮️☯️
@Ferric67 She’s made a fool out of herself at the last two city council meetings. I just sat there and cringed. I don’t know what they are going to do if she shows up next week. It doesn’t look good for this city. Every minute was cringe.
I've spent a lot of time and energy and effort over the last 25 - 30 years looking inward, in search of solutions to personal problems. Some questions have been answered, some solutions have been found. Answers gained through introspection need to be implemented through action and persistence to gradually bring improvements and success. Stupid modern mainstream society and media discourages introspection.
