Also calligraphy, no one cares about my fancy writing. Or even my penmanship. No one is writing letters anymore, what is the purpose.

I know they're important subjects, but geometry and physics did absolutely nothing for me.

Nothing is truly wasted. It's not about the moment itself, but what we choose to learn from it and how we use those lessons to create something meaningful.

I’ve built my career around math and physics, but my curiosity has led me far beyond that. I’ve learned woodworking, which now helps me craft my own furniture, and I’ve picked up metalwork, machine skills and computers along the way. Art, music and craft have also given me meaningful hobbies and creative outlets. I guess you could say I have a wide range of interests and I simply love learning and creating in different forms.

We read Their Eyes were Watching God and later watched the movie. There was this extremely detailed makeout scene that was not in the book at all; I swear it went on for like 10 minutes. Guess I didn't really learn anthing from that but it does feel pretty useless. On a side note: this is the class where my original teacher completely vanished and the new teacher was a psychopath who said if everything in her life didn't somehow have a 3 in it, she would go crazy.

When I think back on all the crap I learned in high school, it's a wonder I can think at all...

Most of the history, 90% of the math I never use, spanish, band.
High school did not prepare me for real life what so ever. Instead of empty meaningless equations, how about teaching how to fill out tax forms? I had to learn that from other people, along with how a mortgage works, etc. Wood shop was about the only valuable skill I learned.
Dont even get me started on Chis Columbus. He was not a hero. He was a slave trader and a slime ball. Did a lot of sleezy things in his life time.
