@HeatherGA The school didn’t call home when you were paddled unless it was a serious offense . Was blackmailed by a siblings that knew and threatened to tell mom. So did what they wanted trying to keep it quiet .

We were never given the choice, discipline was administered right in class with a wooden ruler or yardstick for small offences and then there was the HeadMaster's weekly "Punishment Parade" which was for more major offences and that was either the strap or the cane depending on the severity of your offence.
