Contrary to popular opinion and belief, most older men have more sense and do not get involved with much younger women. Factor in that you're in your thirties and could easily be viewed as a gold digger (just seeking a sugar daddy if you were younger), and then add the sexual harassment/assault accusations ( as well as being labeled a dirty old man/pervert)...there's your answer.

From my viewpoint, I've worked long and hard to build my own family and life. Nothing would be more counterproductive and destructive than becoming a sugar daddy or new father with someone my kids' age.

I wouldn't intentionally flirt with an older man. Let him come to you. They will. Without a doubt. That is, if you're still young. I used to like older men when I was young, too. They always came to me though. I was too shy to flirt for real (drinking doesn't count).

I wouldn't let them know you're actually seeking out an older man though. Because, why try that hard? You're either looking for money or guidance. Abusive men are really the only older men who actually prefer that type of relationship. Most people want someone they can relate to. Someone who has experienced as much as them. There's a reason people make those comments about men who are with women half their age. It [i]is[/i] nasty. Because, that means they're with them for sex. That is all. Or, they're with them for sex and the fact that they will have the upper hand, an advantage. Generally, the only men who are interested in dating (real relationship not just fucking) a young woman is a man who needs that control and power. If a man can control what you learn in life, he has the ultimate authority and power over you. Abusive men rely on that. So, unless you want to be in a very, very bad situation, I suggest waiting until you mature before you look for someone twice your age. Depending on your life circumstances and experiences, you might be able to relate to an older man ***who appreciates a woman for who she is*** before you know it! Although, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

As an older man I can say that nowadays I rarely talk with younger ladies in the real world any compliment etc is normally returned with "you pervert" or,"dirty old man" responses

Are you talking in real life or on SW? Because I don't have any trouble talking with older men on here, and I'm a lot younger than you, so the age gap is even larger.

If you're talking real life, I have no idea as I've never had any experience with men other than my boyfriend, and he's only 6 years older than me, so he's not exactly an "older man."

In this culture, some women claim sexual assault and threaten to make public charges if they are not paid off. Older men are experienced and just don’t trust a younger woman that is overly friendly. Sadly a majority of younger women on line saying they are into older men actually are scammers. I imagine that it does make it a bit harder for sincere women to meet others. I guess like any on line friendship, you have to tread lightly until both are comfortable with each other
