Christmas tradition.... [I Love Christmas Lights And Decorations]

More than you can imagine

We've been together for nearly 17 years (married for nearly 15) and my heart still melts whenever I think about her. She still turns me on just as she did in the beginning. I can't picture my life without her.

Welcoming cooler weather

I am glad to see autumn finally upon us here....the cooler temperatures and the changing of the leaves. It's been a hot summer so this is a nice change of pace. I know that winter will soon follow but I'll just enjoy it one day at a time.

and can't think of a thing to say? I'm healing well from my surgery and can possibly return to work on October 7th, thank you for all of the well wishes and support.

My surgery update

I had my surgery yesterday and everything went well, just waiting on the final pathology reports. I am a bit sore but otherwise doing fine. Thanks for all of your thoughts.

What I imagine [I Wonder About Heaven]

I don't really believe in the streets of gold, mansions, and jewels version of heaven. I picture it being more like the story of Adam and Eve before the fall (just with more people). I believe in an afterlife and that is how I like to picture it.

I have had professional portraits done....

But my wife is the only person I have felt comfortable enough to let photograph me. I'd much rather be the one behind the camera.

Some of mine were Only the Lonely, Delirious, The Great Outdoors, Cool Runnings, Who's Harry Crumb, Armed and Dangerous, and his final film Wagons East.

Most people keep it subdued and under control, but it is an inherent part of human nature.

It's a dream of mine

I used to be a truck driver and I always wanted to follow the old routes to the west coast, stopping to actually visit/see the things I could only drive past before. Who knows, maybe someday I'll get the chance to share that with my wife.

I always smile when I greet someone whether I know them or not, I don't always get a smile back (or even a greeting) but I don't let that deter me.

Acceptance and appreciation

I don't expect people to like, agree with, embrace, or even fully understand how I think or what I believe....just that they accept, respect, and appreciate that this is who and what I am. I will always extend to them the same courtesy.

I can't say I'm a believer but I do try to keep an open mind. I do believe in the possibility. I have never had any personal experience or encounters, nor have I known anyone who has. I admit I am a skeptic but I still find it interesting.
