Why are older men wary of me?

I prefer older men, but when I flirt with them they look at me with suspicion. I thought being younger would be to my advantage, but it actually seems to scare them away.

From my viewpoint, I've worked long and hard to build my own family and life. Nothing would be more counterproductive and destructive than becoming a sugar daddy or new father with someone my kids' age.

@Looking All I can say is that some men are guided by their hormonal equipment rather than the gray matter between their ears. Just my personal take on the matter.
