Graphic design question for you all

So, I'm looking at a logo for a local café called Peachtree. The logo is the wordmark on top of the cross section of a tree, showing the tree's rings — something you can only see if the tree is cut down.

Thoughts?

What you describe doesn't say cafe to me, nor coffee, nor peaches. Based on the description, I'd give it a C.

FWIW, peach trees are somewhat distinctive in that they start branching almost at ground level

Is it this one?

I find it an odd logo to choose. It makes no connection in my mind with anything associated with a cafe. And I do not find it compelling, artistically. It does not "draw me in."
