You have some wild plants in your backyard, so you used some chemical to kill all the plants, Now you want to grow some fruits.
Your using chemical to kill unwanted plants is like using antibiotic. While growing fruit tree/plant is like taking probiotic.
You just have to understand two side effects of using antibiotic, they kill all good and bad bacteria when used, and it reduces your active immunity, in the analogy of our garden, it reduces fertility of soil.
So too much use of antibiotics is not advised, even by the doctors.

Yes, it is a load of "good bacteria" beneficial for the gut. Here they prescribe probiotics after antibiotics because it can lead to depleted gut flora which affects your whole gastro intestinal system
A while back I took a course of anti-biotics and after had diarrhea

Yes, if you take both at the same time it's useless because antibiotics kill off probiotic culture.

Yes, antibiotics kill bacteria indiscriminately, while probiotics are administered to nurture the growth of specific bacteria. Somewhat in the same way that antibodies can start killing their own host indiscriminately, whereas probodies are proteolytically activated antibodies designed to remain inert, until locally activated by diseased tissue (IE. The destruction of the local organs trips the probody defense mechanisms).

yes, i would think so 🤔

Effectively, yes... now ask yourself, which culture do you want to belong too? 🤭

Probiotics are opposite to antibiotics. But both won't work on the same pathogens

not exactly no. antibiotics kill bacteria, probiotics are just healthy bacteria. and prebiotics are substances like foods that help good bacteria flourish. so prebiotics would be more like opposite antibiotics but even that isnt an exact opposite as prebiotics only help good bacteria and antibiotics kill good and bad

you would thing so,, but the usage is different
a ProBiotic, as sold these days is supposed to make the environment of your digestive tract, more comfortable to the beneficial bacteria that are supposed to be there

A probiotic is bacteria for your body to practice fighting off to strengthen your immune system. An antibiotics kills all bacteria.

It’s a paid biotic rather than just an amateur.
You must be high

@msros Most antibiotics work by killing bacteria or preventing it from growing. Unfortunately, most antibiotics can't distinguish between good and bad bacteria. Researchers say some antibiotics, including commonly prescribed tetracyclines and macrolides, can kill healthy gut bacteria during use.
