You have some wild plants in your backyard, so you used some chemical to kill all the plants, Now you want to grow some fruits.
Your using chemical to kill unwanted plants is like using antibiotic. While growing fruit tree/plant is like taking probiotic.
You just have to understand two side effects of using antibiotic, they kill all good and bad bacteria when used, and it reduces your active immunity, in the analogy of our garden, it reduces fertility of soil.
So too much use of antibiotics is not advised, even by the doctors.
