Swimming helps me when I feel anxious
I find taking long walks by myself in the woods helps.
Sambriggs96 · 26-30, F
@justberniegirl I love bushwalking. It brings me closer to nature
funfan · 46-50, M
@Sambriggs96 Like on a walkabout? Maybe not that kind of long journey. 😂

Had it for a long time, used to have attacks but i solved it.

Find meaning in your life

Develop an innate trust in yourself and prove yourself to be dependable in the face of adversity.

Do physical exercise every day or two and Improve yourself constantly so you feel good about yourself.

Realise that other people are just you wearing social masks pretending they know what they're doing.

Pretend to be someone else who is confident like you're acting and it's like a game, do it enough times and you'll become that person.

Do what you need to do when you need to do it
(be dependable to yourself)

Shoulders back, chest forward.

Eat consistently as it can be to do with blood sugar, that means eating breakfast even though you don't want to.

Try and stay in the moment, sometimes when i'm lost in thought I "wake up" by focusing on something in the room and it puts me back in the present.

You'll get there :)

It depends on where your anxiety stems from. Best advise is to find a professional to talk with.

@SW-User that's great, hiking works for me
SW-User
@Sambriggs96 Same. i do a lot of hiking. Also surfing when i get the chance works well too. I just wish the effects lasted longer than a day or so.

Time and experience will probably help

Sam, there's so much great advice in the comments so far. The only thing I can add is that you're not alone here. There are many other members from around the world the globe who suffer from anxiety or similar ailments.

Talk to a professional and consider medications.

@tropicaltiger Exactly, there's such a negative stigma around mental health. If you had an infection, you'd see a doctor and get it treated. If you're diagnosed with high blood pressure, you'd get on meds and possibly change diet. Your mental health is just as important as physical health and directly affects physical health. No one should be ashamed to get the treatment they need.

I think all of us are affected by confidence in some way. You're not alone in this!
mrbuddhawannabe · 56-60, M
For anxiety: meditation, exercise, deep breathing, yoga, journaling.
Just try relaxing and thinking positive thoughts. It does work.
