I sleep pretty well as long as I’m not drinking any alcohol, which I seldom do. I take melatonin before I go to bed, and that provides a little push.
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@Softandsweet2 I might have to try that.
Softandsweet2 · 31-35, F
@mossyboots Take it 5 minutes before you turn out the light. Might take a few times to start with, and it’s not strong. It definitely helps me fall asleep.

Not very well most nights. I've tried herbal Nytol, milky drinks, not caffeine after 5pm, earplugs, sleep mask and other things but it takes me forever to get to sleep, than after a couple of hours I'm wide awake and back to square one.
I think it's because I went from an early morning start at work to an afternoon start and it takes me a while to shut my brain down after a busy shift in my new job.

@RodneyTrotter1 I think it's your change in your hours too. If the herbal didn't work you might need the normal Nytol. But you can't take the liquid every night but you can the tablets.

@mossyboots I might give those a go.
I can fall asleep easily watching tv but I come alive late at night and just can't switch off.

I do need earplugs, and total darkness in the bedroom to be able to sleep. I try to read until I feel a tiny bit sleepy before I even TRY to go to bed. AND if I take an allergy tablet before I lie down, I not only do NOT stay awake coughing and sniffing, but the medication itself is an assist to sleep.

shockingly well. I'd try the sleepy time tea and a magnesium supplement.

There are tons of things to do to improve your sleep
My sleep is slowly improving over the years as I've added new things to help

Having to be at work at 4 AM and not getting enough sleep. But most people probably don’t get enough sleep. On weekends I get more.

I sleep like a Golden Retriever. When my head hits the pillow, I’m usually out in under 5 minutes. It only takes me about five hours to feel refreshed.
ironborn · 51-55, M
Really well..no worries, no work and a nice settled life. Blessed
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@ironborn Good for you!

@Slicker24 Very true!
FreeorLonely · 51-55, F
Pretty crappy, I’m lucky if I get 5 hours. Lol right minutes before your alarm you can sleep like a baby.
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@FreeorLonely I really hate it when that happens!
ArtieKat · M
That sounds quite familiar, @mossyboots
mossyboots · 51-55, F
@ArtieKat Yes, I'm on repeat!
