We easily afford living on social security and a bit of savings, actually we get a little richer with each passing month. We own our home and auto, have no debt and pretty much feel like we can afford to do whatever we wat to.
Biggest expenses are taxes and insurance.
I'm active in the stock market, but it's mostly a model building project for myself. In one of my last jobs I was heavily involved in financial model building for banks, accountants and investment bankers so I have the bug. It's all about math and statistics and not really about the money. But my attention there has to be shared with taking care of the yard, fixing what's broken and caring for a hospice spouse. Overall that takes priority, but as I go down the list making more money comes in behind the flowers.

$40,000.
That's how much I currently owe in credit card debt.
Now, I know I seem like I've got my head on straight when it comes to financial stuff, and I do. What happened here is, I let my dad max out a couple of them during a tough time, with the promise that he was going to help me pay them back down. Then in order to continue to function, while I was waiting for him to have the money to pay them off, I had to max out another, then another.

I know how this sounds. But anything less than $5 Million would make little difference to our lifestyle. No debts and all our needs at this level are met. So to make a difference I would need to take everything up a notch..(Not really sure I would bother)😷

Right now, around $15 as I’m headed into the diner. That’ll pay for my lunch and dessert.

No amount of money, however small or big, would change my life in any way. I decided to live the way I do as a result of my own free will.
Stay away with your money – it stinks. Or give it to those who need it.

I'd have to know what I want to do with my life first. 😐 But I guess it would start at 50k € either way.

Whatever it would take to pay the bills when the inevitable happens and my wife has to go into a memory care unit.

If I could get a 4.25% annual yield on about $8,000,000, my wife and I wouldn’t need to work.

I have no debt but an old gold coin would be nice.
