We havent had plasic bags here for a few years now. At first i had the reusable bags but id always forget them in the car when i went shopping. Took me a fewbyears but i think im trained now.
Ugh! About half the time I have to turn around and back out to the car to get my bags. I've taken to neatly folding them so I can put them between the seat and the door so when I open the door, they fall out and I can't forget them 😁
Yes, then i need to buy more. Then take those in the house, and next time i go shopping, they are still at home. So need to buy more. One day ill remember to put them in my vehicle
No. I've been using my own bags when shopping for so long now, that it's pretty much an ingrained habit. I have forgotten to grab them every once in a while though, when I'm really distracted.
When I forget my bags, I try to carry everything in my arms, then trip and fall and spill and make a mess. Then someone offers to help me carry my groceries 😌
Our Walmart is now going to require that we either bring our own bags, or pay for theirs. Is that happening in Walmart stores across the nation? Even globally? If we bring Walmart bags that we have kept from previous purchases, how will employees keep track?
Nope. I have 2 reusable grocery bags. I unload my groceries then loop the handles on the back of my front door. That way, next time I leave, they make their way back to the car so they are ready for next time.
Same with my Aldi quarter. Keep it in a special spot in my car so I always have it.
I have like 20 of them in my trunk, in addition to a pretty large soft cooler. Mostly though, unless I have some small items, I put it all in the shopping cart and take back to my car, and load in the soft cooler.
@Lilymoon When I have perishables and it's warmer, I can always ask for a bag of ice for the cooler. They were on sale at Costco for something like $20, and they work great.
Yes! I went yesterday and left mine in the trunk just like I thought I would. 🤦😣 But they only just started enforcing it on the 1st, so it was the first time I've been since.
I keep some in the trunk of my car. Aldi and Natural Grocers are the only stores where you need to bring a bag. You can also take one of their empty boxes and use that if needed or buy a bag.
I've become the greatest juggler coming out of grocery stores. Arm load of assorted stuff. Gallon of milk hung on my pinky finger. Jar of mayonnaise tucked under my chin.
{@lilymoon] no when go shopping at the coop saturday mam always makes sure she is armed with plenty of carriers . you can still buy them from there but what they are made of i have no idea
We bring Costco bag and Sam’s club bag to shopping to Costco. It’s not funny when you have to hear 100 times the same joke about how they don’t like the blue bag. 😵💫
What I dont understand is over the years I've purchased and acquired at parades and festivals SO SO SOOOO many reusable bags, but where the HELL do they disappear to? Its like socks in the laundry.
@Darksideinthenight2 well there has to be a reason plastics are being banned. They're not gonna ban it for nothing. They're saying it is at crisis levels.
