I think they recently added "Jawn" to a dictionary somewhere so I don't know if that jawn counts or not!
@GerOttman I had to Google it. Apparently it's just a Philly thing.

"ope". Technically, I guess it's an actual word as a variant form of open, but I say no. Ope, in the form I use it, is when you accidentally run into someone, or push the pull door, or trip over an invisible spectral turtle.....welcome to Kansas.

I also blurt out frell sometimes in frustration. It's what Farscape used in place of the F-word
SarahAndSamantha · 46-50, F
@OogieBoogie I didn't just watch it. I am to Farscape what Trekkies are to Star Trek lol.
@SarahAndSamanthaYeah?
I loved it.... it was pretty good considering it was an aussie sci fi.
i started rewatching it late last year. I wished it had kept going .

It had some really innovative ideas and I loved Zhanns clothes and makeup

@OogieBoogie It was beautifully weird, hilarious, tense, sad and hopeful. It managed to do something that no show has ever done. It made me ugly cry at least 4 different times. There's been rumors of bringing it back for years now. I had to stop holding my breath, but I'm always hoping. I'd love to see a "Farscape: The Next Generation" type of thing.

And Zhaan was AMAZING!!!!

I started using a made up swear word years ago reserved for when I’ve stubbed my toe or something… “magamafump” 😂
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@MasterLee Years before the escalator even, but nice try 😉
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Zaphod42 do or not do. There is no try.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
@MasterLee Haha! Yeah, but “nice not” just doesn’t sound right 😂

I'm finally warming up to the word "richer".
I like to call wealthy people "Richers".
What irks me now, is when people use the word "ups", instead of increases, promotes, or other proper words.
It really hurts my soul to see professionals use this word in media presentations. I bet 90% of them earn 6 figures, and have never had to go home with a work injury a day in their lives.
If I use "ups" in a sentence, please shoot me.

Saltified - the feeling you get when you've eaten too much salt. It is often accompanied with a thirst that cannot be satisfied.
@Bowenw And if you get too saltified, you might start feeling pukish.

We used to invent words when we were kids. Even now, as adults, we use them among ourselves and know what they mean!
Lmao... Most of my non verbal communication is not something that many people would understand but it made sense to my mother and I.
Ferric67 · M
I don't mind inventing my own words
it makes people wonder
and
I like to do that
