@LordShadowfire letting millions of people into the country during a recession was not a good idea but yet he does it at the Mexico border canceling the keystone pipeline pipeline would have helped gas prices and gave people jobs. And I understand people are going to try to make up stories to make it look like hes doing good but he is not watch the news open your eyes
@TheRascallyOne Immigration aside, the Keystone Pipeline never opened, so it is impossible that continuing to not open it did any actual damage. What did do some damage was when Donald Trump set up a system where only a relative handful of favorite energy executives have access to people who can shape policy, declared vast swaths of shoreline off Florida and other states off-limits to drilling, and more. The increase in the price of crude oil actually began well before he lost the election.

Man, so many salty Trumpists in this thread....

Realistically i think Biden will be remembered as sort of a nothing president. A fairly unremarkable president who acted in a way that would be expected of his party but wasn't responsible for much progress or decline.

I think what he will be most remembered as is the alternative to Trump. I think his presidency will be remembered as the choice Americans made because ANYONE ELSE would be better for America than the Great Orange Narcissist in Chief.

Trump divided the country more than any president in generations and exploited that division for political gain...and continues to do so.
So i think Biden will go down in history as the man who America used to fire Trump.

I think the campaign shirt i bought sums it up pretty well: [c=800000]"Vote for Biden. He's fine"[/c]

@LordShadowfire

Yeah that sounds about right.
And even your caveat of recent history is more realistic than these fanatics talking about worst in history lol

@Pikachu Responsible?
RopinTexan · 31-35, M
@Pikachu My thoughts exactly. I don’t particularly like Biden. I don’t like the Democratic Party, but I don’t like the Republicans either. I typically vote third party, but this was the first time I’ve ever voted for one of the major parties, for no other reason but to vote Trump out.

Hopefully as a well learned lesson. Something never to do again.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Roadsterrider he isn't that smart
@Roadsterrider I didn't say it wasn't. You're placing the blame on Biden for global gas prices.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
@LordShadowfire That is because the policies of the Biden administration caused higher gas prices. Everything he does is wrong. Printing trillions of dollars will hurt the economy, says economists. Joe says, go ahead and print it, infusing the economy with cash is the only way to fix it. Raising the interest rate of the Fed Reserve (making it more expensive to borrow money) will slow the economy says the economist. Joe says, what do they know, raise it, that should get the economy going.

The price of oil isn't entirely dependent on supply, Speculation can drive prices up or down depending on how the organizations buying oil trend. If they think there will be a reduced supply of oil, they try to buy more driving the price up, when Joe Biden shut down the Keystone XL pipeline, he removed the potential of 800,000 barrels a day from the market. As he tries to shut down coal and natural gas, he is causing higher prices for heat and power across the nation.

So here we are with Carter era levels of inflation, pretty soon if he keeps telling the Fed to increase interest rates, we will be back in the double-digit interest rates of the 70s to match the highest inflation rates.

Biden is a complete and utter failure domestically as POTUS, and his international record isn't any better.

For every president since Herbert Hoover, presidential libraries have been established in each president's home state in which documents, artifacts, gifts of state and museum exhibits are maintained that relate to the former president's life and career both political and professional.

They also contain every thing they said and wrote...

Which in biden's case, will amount to a bunch of incomprehensible gibberish that archaeologists will spend the next 1,000 years trying to decipher... 🤔
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
He didn't even have his 4 years yet 🤷‍♂️

But so far... someone that inherrited all the crap of the guys before him. An unwanted alternative to the authoritarian menace that ran against him. And someone that seems to have faith in the democratic system as is supposed to work, in a time where compromises are highly unlikely due to radicalisation and polarisation (mainly in the opposing party).

It's tough to say, given that we're not even halfway through his term in office. A lot of issues that seem significant in the moment tend to get eclipsed by different issues later on.

But hypothetically assuming his presidency ended today, he would most likely get remembered for high gas prices and inflation. Basically becoming the Jimmy Carter of this generation.

My theory is that he'll mostly be remembered for his age, most likely as a caricature of a senile old man with coordination issues. For many people, they genuinely do believe he's already there.
@TinyViolins

A Hack of the 46 President. Pretty soon there won't be a 46. His picture will be taken down and everybody will forget about Mr.Sippy Cup.

So there will be a Missing Number from 45 to 47.

Not sure if Obama. Bush and the rest of traitors will continue to be part of the list as well. Who knows

@ExtremeNext or his ass with both hands.
Personally, I like and respect him.

But it's far too early to say how he will be remembered.

- Epidemiologists think new, more and worse pandemics are highly likely.
- Catastrophic weather events are increasing in severity and frequency.
- NATO is about to accept Ukraine into its union, which means Europe may go to war with Russia.
- Because of all these, the cost of living is likely to continue increasing.
- Any leader of any country is likely to be faced with increasingly serious challenges.

No one is perfect. Throughout history, the leader who can handle most problems well is rare.
