At least they took a vote on it!
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@SunshineGirl Yeah the city council...not the citizens.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@SumKindaMunster There are 62 residents on that street and council rules require that they are allowed to vote on the name change since each household will incur costs because of the name change.

A vote in 2021 narrowly failed (21-21 with 20 abstentions) but the new proposal currently sits at 100% to erase the criminal's name from their homes.

Of course, this pales into insignificance compared to when the americans eventually erase trump's actions and trump's name from everything.

Call it Karl Marx avenue or Trotsky street. They'd be honest then at least.
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@Munumbis Avenue of Islam. Mohammed Street.
TexChik · F

😉🤣🤣🤣

Canada is all bluster and socialist grandstanding . The US buys 73% of all
Canadian goods and is responsible for 78% of their cash flow. They insist on having a trade deficit , so Trump is about to show them the art of the deal.

Where will this renaming end?

GerOttman · 70-79, M
@Nimbus Nah, that's Maxine Waters crack!!
Nimbus · M
@GerOttman Hold on, I'll just get my glasses.
IM5688 · 70-79, M
@Nimbus We could also call it Newsom's Fault.
GerOttman · 70-79, M
This is so much fun to watch. It's almost like one of those "Reality..." shows. Sayyyyy... Didn't he used to do one of those?
i mean, if we wanna use that logic, Trump is deranged by Carney by changing Lake Ontario to Lake America. especially when Ontario predates both countries, and some American towns are even called Ontario too.
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@legendaryssjgsskaiokenevolved It's not a logical response. It's an escalation. Escalating further is engaging in the same behavior Trump is, and again, I can't help but note the hypocrisy.
25 long years... Not 4 centuries then? 25 years?

It’s not so much “how dare he rename things,” as it is, “why’s he wasting time renaming things instead of working on making things more affordable.” He cares more about his ego than about our pain.

@SumKindaMunster you said:

@newjaninev2 You find those hookers that peed on a bed in moscow yet?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@sunsporter1649 I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Liberals are the same everywhere; crooks and hypocrites.

@Carla I don't agree. It's symbolic either way. If Trump's renaming of Lake Ottawa is petty, then so is removing his name from a street as an act of retaliation.
Carla · 61-69, F
@SumKindaMunster i know you don't agree. And wouldn't.
I do know that it makes no sense to celebrate someone who keeps punching you in the teeth.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Carla And that from someone worshipping these folks
Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered. And the process is continuing day by day and minute by minute. History has stopped. Nothing exists except an endless present in which the Party is always right.

We should call them the "Petty Nonsense Wars"...🤭🤭🤭
It’s so silly, they do this here as well, change names, leave the names, all this nonsense costs money, surely there are better things to spend money on?
tenente · 36-40, M
Is this city politicians flooding the zone with nonsense to deflect attention away from real issues(?)
tenente · 36-40, M
@SumKindaMunster Ya, it seems like city politicians are renaming things for "likes" and also to avoid real issues. But I do not know what happens in Canada and if that is a normal for city administrators. I bet it's an election year for the mayor in that city.
SumKindaMunster · 56-60, M
@tenente I remember when you used to be a fun and lighthearted person on here, and didn't take things so seriously.

Sadly, another victim afflicted with a scorching case of TDS.

@SumKindaMunster Justin Eichorn was elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2016 and 2020

On March 17, 2025, Eichorn was one of five Republican authors of a bill, SF2589, that would designate "Trump Derangement Syndrome" as an officially recognized mental illness in Minnesota.
