In some ways, possibly. Energy wise, no way could I could keep up. As far as policies, there are a few I would step up. I mean I would keep moving forward and add on to what he has already done. Being tough, he and I are about equal. Foreign policies, I say nuke first, ask questions later...lol So would I be a better president? Not really sure.
@IM5688 Presidents generally become popular with the people, or popular with the world.. Rarely both.. My first official act would be to seize every Trump property, throw out whoever was living there at the time and turn every one of them into free homeless shelters. I suspect that would make me universally popular. And I would still be assassinated before sunset..😷
@SunshineGirl I do remember that Bill being discussed when it was passed, and the maximum any one person would get is $1200. It’s not that 1200 isn’t real money, but it’s not life-changing. The bill also provided*billions*of dollars to hospitals that got hit hard by the costs related COVID. That certainly seems like money well spent.
I don’t know what the total in payouts with the stimulus checks was. The media at the time was complaining that people weren’t spending the checks, but just putting them back in savings to replace money that they had already spent. It would be fun to run the numbers to see if a noticeable dent could’ve been made in the national debt instead of handing out those checks.
@joe438 The checks were only part of the stimulus package, a mere $293 billion. The total package, the total injected into the economy, was $2.2 trillion. If you're interested, here's a breakdown of where the other $1.9 trillion went.
No. I'm British and I wish we had a leader who had balls like he has. He's a common sense merchant and that' s exactly what we need in these times of mass invasion!
I severly lack in knowledge of so many things a president needs to know like economy and i really wouldnt like to be in a position to hurt so many with my mistakes.

Contrary to what a lot of other people believe, Trump's weakness as a president isn't sourced in bad policy or his nature as a bully. His weakness as a president is that he believes he is greater than he is.
When you act like you are the smartest person in the room you stop taking in new information. You don't listen to the expertise of others. You think you have this and you know what needs to be done.
Trump is unable to put himself in the position of a servant. And that is what good people managers are. And a president is ultimately a manager. They support and enable the experts who do the actual work. His ego demands he be the boss. He surrounds himself with people who will support him instead. He surrounds himself with people who will not challenge him and who will not push back against bad ideas.
I'd be embarassed and ashamed if I couldn't. Then again you can say that about his business life. Trump is the living embodiment of why inherited wealth should be illegal. At least he could be doing something useful, like sweeping the streets.
@boudinMan The border is not nearly as open as it used to be, but it's also absolutely no where near closed...
Approximately 1 million people enter the United States every day through various ports of entry, including airports, land checkpoints, and sea ports. This high volume includes international travelers, tourists, and U.S. citizens returning home. Additionally, about 70,000 foreigners arrive daily, including legal immigrants and visitors.
And that's not even counting the illegals that yes are still coming, at a slower rate, but they certainly have not stopped.
Nobody can. The heritage foundation wrote US foreign policy, decades ago. The CIA with its blank check from our treasury plans and executes our domestic control of ourselves and our foreign control of others. It doesn't matter who is president.
