Nimbus · M
@sunsporter1649 Colorful!
Absolutely…

Hi… 🤗🤗
Nimbus · M
@Soossie Howdy stranger :)
How's things?
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
Yes and it’s a stepping stone for Communism.
Nimbus · M
@cherokeepatti And we don't want that!
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
It worked just fine for the Nomenklatura, until...

Nimbus · M
@Thinkerbell That's a mouthful :)
4meAndyou · F
In EVERY single country where it has been tried.
Nimbus · M
@4meAndyou For sure!
JanaF47 · 46-50, F
Its utopia and makes everyone poor and kills talents and human effort.
Nimbus · M
@JanaF47 Exactly.
FloorGenAdm · 51-55, M
Ain't Socialism like seasoning in your recipe...you need just the right amount. And a side-dish on your plate not the main course? 🍲
@FloorGenAdm excellent description! I think it's good that my country has socialist parties but even better when they don't make it into government
Nimbus · M
@FloorGenAdm Now there's food for thought!
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
We have seen the limits of capitalism
The rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Strictmichael75 bernie the red is a poor person?
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@sunsporter1649 certainly much better than dozing demented don

Social welfare works. It’s a Christian virtue towards the weak and vulnerable. But socialism as a whole is a recipe for failure.
Nimbus · M
@AdmiralPrune Correct!
Munumbis · 46-50, M
It's good if you use it for little programs like disability or roads etc. It'll gut your ecconomy if you try absurd schemes like "free" health care.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@Munumbis Roads and disability are "little"? I think you meant to say "important areas of spending that are less easy for corporations to make a profit out of".
Munumbis · 46-50, M
@SunshineGirl little compared to the massive waste we have
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
They keep pushing for it, but it's never worked anywhere it's been tried .
But don't let history stop you kids because nowadays if you believe something it's so...
Nimbus · M
@Justmeraeagain I agree.
AbbeyRhode · F
Without a doubt. It has never worked as promised, ever.
Nimbus · M
@AbbeyRhode The realisation of that doesn't deter them 🙄

I'm too broke to worry about that shit.
@Thevy29 good plebe. Stay out of the way of the knowing classes. Stay freaking busy. Work sets us thinking people free - from your kind!
Nimbus · M
@Thevy29 I hope things improve for you.
cherokeepatti · 70-79, F
They promise that everyone will have a full belly. In Cuba they set the wages and it’s barely enough to buy enough food to survive (if they can even find enough to buy, they can stand in line for hours to do it and it may be sold out by the time it’s their turn to go into the store), the government gives them a tiny bit of food on the side but even that doesn’t help all that much. Cubans can fish from shore but not get in a boat and do some serious sea fishing. They are forbidden to consume lobster if they can catch one but the government has lobster boats and sells the lobsters to other countries and keeps the money. Socialism and Communism is a bloody scam on the common people.
Nimbus · M
@cherokeepatti Yep, Cuba is a fine example of failure.
GerOttman · 70-79, M
I think its more successful at small scale where the people actually have control over the process. it's when applied at large scale that it loses focus. Oddly enough it's the same problem with democracy..
Nimbus · M
@GerOttman That's interesting 👍
There is no incentive to innovate.
When the state sticks its beak into and dictates your bizzness and profits..
Nimbus · M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout People love laziness 🙄
Communism.. or whatever the kids are calling it these days..
is fantastic if your in the leadership /elite positions..

Not so much as a worker ant comrade ✊
GoFish ·
it's irrational
It is when its critics move the goalposts
Nimbus · M
@Nimbus by characterizing it as communism. The nominal fallacy
It's never appropriate for Americans. Never.
Nimbus · M
@Roundandroundwego Any other countries?
