Tennessee school shooting

Liberals want gun control and getting rid of the second amendment

Even though the shooter was a transgender!
Even though the shooter was a transgender!
What does that have to do with gun control?
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Gun control ≠ gun bans.
Your second amendment is safe.
Rights have responsibilities too.
chrisCA · M
@Graylight People should be more of afraid of the soccer mom carrying a loaded handgun in her purse than of the Hells Angel who may be packing.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@chrisCA why do you say that?
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@basilfawlty89 ... after finding out Taibi and Shellenberger are Liberals, i've now changed that term to 'Leftards' ... as both Taibi and Shellenberger has shown, there are 2 good Liberals at least ...

😳 ... wait, did i just use the word 'good' and 'Liberal' in the same sentence ... yes i did 🤪🤪🤪
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Why do you mention the transgender, that, at this time, has anything to do with the shooting, except the shooter declared herself as such? The fact is that she had 2 assault weapons and a handgun! Why did she need that firepower? That is what gun for control people are asking. Over 70% of Americans want something to be done about there being more guns than people in the US. If that number is correct, and there aren't 70% of the population identifying as liberal, then some crimes narratives are in favor of "gun control."

@Lila15 What news source do you use?

MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
@Lila15 Brazil was first in gun deaths. Thanks
chrisCA · M
The issue in the United States should not be the background of the shooters in these crimes, but how is it that these people are able to easily obtain weapons.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@BigGuy2 why do the gun-advocates fight against that?
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@samueltyler2 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️ - it's not my strongest discussion point - gun control, so i don't want to expand on anything i don't know much about, sorry
@chrisCA
Are criminals the real threat? How many gun deaths in the United States are caused by legally owned guns?
Less than 10%. 90+% of all firearm homicides are committed by felons. They have at least one felony, but the average is four. It's illegal for a felon to be in possession of the firearm, therefore no matter how it was acquired, it's illegal. So yes, criminals with guns is by far, the bigger issue. And guess where that murderous activity occurs? America's inner cities...typically run by Democrats.

Republicans: Nah.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@BohemianBoo Automobile deaths...46,000. Fentanyl deaths 108,000. 378 swimming pool deaths. Train deaths 792. Boating deaths 682. All in one year.
@sunsporter1649 Take you're autism meds. You're doing that thing where you say something that has nothing to do with the thread.
BlueVeins · 22-25
They should know by now that trans people have supernatural gun summoning powers and are therefore invulnerable to gun control.
Kwek00 · 41-45, M
@BizSuitStacy Where do you get your stats?

Because from what I can see, California doesn't have the strictest gunlaws, neither does it come up with tmost firearm homicide by state.

https://worldpopulationreview.com/state-rankings/strictest-gun-laws-by-state

https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/homicide_mortality/homicide.htm

https://www.criminalattorneycincinnati.com/comparing-gun-control-measures-to-gun-related-homicides-by-state/

Even then... if you live in a country that has several states with diffrent gun laws. And there are no custommers offices between states, then guns just flow from one state to another. That's the same discussion that we have with the Netherlands when it comes to their mariuhana policy, considering that they are in Shengen.

However, if we are going to compare countries with eachother... Something you guys seem to be reluctant to do... Then you have to compare yourself with Urugay and Guyana to feel good about yourself. Even Panama and Iraq can pat themselves on the back 'cause they are doing better then the US.
@BizSuitStacy thanks for the laugh, happy was tge dwarf my brain decided to use 😌😌
@Kwek00
Where do you get your stats?

Then maybe you should get your eyes checked. Because when I clicked on the link you provided. Look at what comes up as no. 1 strictest with gun laws? Whoops.

And I see you're pulling the classic leftist maneuver using the debunked CDC for crime data. Ever wonder why a public health agency is tracking crime?
Ever wonder why the number of firearm homicides reported by the CDC is always 25%-40% higher than that of the FBI? That is the US federal law enforcement agency...the one with actual quality assurance and quality control measures to ensure accuracy. While the clowns at the CDC "count death certificates." Go ahead and see the number of firearm homicides per state. Plug in their relative populations, and get your firearm homicides per capita. I did that 20+ years ago. The relative numbers don't change much. Now, if gun control laws by state effectively reduce firearm violence, we should see a strong correlation between stronger laws and lower homicides per capita. Except we don't. The data is all over the board. There is no correlation. And then once you understand that 90% of all firearm homicides are committed by felons - people for whom it's already illegal to have a gun in their possession, you realize there is no common sense in common sense gun laws.

The shooter was also a former student, so should we get rid of religious schools? 99.99999% of mass shooters are straight white men, by the way.

Hey, dead kids is just the price we pay for easy gun ownership. Deal with it, snowflake!
@BigGuy2 You don't have to forward a video from a racist pig like Kirk. One reason for that statistic is it's drawn from police departments self-reporting. If more Black people are arrested, then of course they're going to be convicted of more crimes. All you've done is give another example of institutional racism. Black people use illegal drugs at the same rate as white people, but are tried and convicted more often, and receive harsher sentences.

If Kirk doesn't discuss that, he's missing the big picture.
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@LeopoldBloom ... i love get'n 'Lib*ards' into verbal corners ... Kirk is on the World stage as a speaker, he - like me - gives out facts, he's not the type of person to give them out if they're not true, because they can be easily refuted
@BigGuy2 Kirk is full of shit. He's just repeating racist propaganda without qualifying it.

If the cops are only stopping Black people, it stands to reason that they will be arrested, charged, and imprisoned more frequently. This is just logical. You people are always complaining about white people being hassled when they protest school board meetings, so based on that logic, they are more disruptive than Black people and deserve to be suppressed.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
And you want more guns around killing more and more people! So fucking stupid!
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
What does one have to do with the other?
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@DearAmbellina2113 well said ... it's the Left's way of attempting to shut down debate - ALWAYS attach some 'ism' to anything ... they ALWAYS try to boil EVERYTHING down to Racism in the hope of embarrassing opponents into shutting up, or in this instance homophobia
originnone · 61-69, M
Well.....how do you address the fact that there are statistically far more gun deaths in states with less restrictive gun laws?
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Kwek00 There are three kinds of lies.....lies, damned lies, and statistics

@Kwek00 I don't recall where I got my data, but I guess I'm mistaken.
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Liberal media forgets story in 3…..2……1……..
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
I bet that the lame stream media left out of the reporring that it was a transgender shooter, probably transposed a MAGA hatted Red neck instead
TrashCat · M
@BigGuy2 No they didn't, pinhead. That fact was properly reported.
BigGuy2 · 26-30, M
@TrashCat ah ... but did they do a J6 job on it first ... 🤪🤪🤪
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@BigGuy2 Nope. Another lie from you. As usual.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Mentally ill. Tranny.
Vin53 · M
We have an estimated 400,000,000 guns in our country.

We're the dumbest civilized country in the world, By far.
@Vin53 Another Lib bashing their country. Self-flagilating-tastic!
MarineBob · 56-60, M
The gun was illegal
Graylight · 51-55, F
@tindrummer @windinhishair @MarineBob What does it matter? Fewer legal guns equals fewer illegal guns. Fewer guns. No qualifiers, no exemptions, no exclusions.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Graylight Not to mention fewer gun homicides and suicides and accidental killings.
chrisCA · M
@Graylight Something many other developed countries have figured out.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
What does that have to do with getting rid of weapons designed to kill children and others efficiently and quickly?

@Emosaur Come on, don't use this card, or else why not justify white supremacist shootings saying these poor white boys felt so victimized.
This comment is hidden. Show Comment
@Emosaur I agree, but it's been a while now since I decided to go beyond the simple reflex of outrage and victimisation. Growing up as a person and as a society is about looking at the part played by the different protagonists. It's also about being aware that violence will find a nice alibi in the victim narrative. If we feel hurt, we must acknowledge the pain, and then go beyond tit-for-tat attitudes. Look for long-term solutions.
To all the hoplophobes doing the AR-15 Shit Pants Dance right now...some firearm homicide data from the FBI.

Firearm homicides by firearm type. Notice rifles...your so called assault weapons are a subset of this number, and per Dianne Feinstein's data, firearms like an AR-15 make up less than 1% of total firearm homicides annually. You are much more likely to be stabbed. You are more likely to be bludgeoned to death.

Firearms with this capability have been around for more than 100 years. The mass shootings occurred much later. No one is falling for your "it's the gun" narrative.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
tindrummer · M
@DearAmbellina2113 nothing - he's just one of the gun worshipping, homophobic haters here
tindrummer · M
trying to spread more hate with your transgender comment?
Graylight · 51-55, F
We do, even though you're an ijit.

Person with gun. Person kills kids. People excuse killing, choosing blame instead.

People still stoopid.
The last four or so shooters have identified as trans with 17 pronouns..
But the legacy media will blame the ‘far right’
Look at my username, I get alot of flak from my fellow brits for it! But I don't understand your question?
TrashCat · M
So you're for gun control?
@TrashCat no. Where did you get that from?
