Hello, Americans.

Hello, i recently joined this website in hopes of finding like-minded people. America has been flawed for years, babies starve and politicians grow fat. Every penny that the poor man makes is halved and put in the rich man’s pocket. “Work harder” they all say. The more we work in this fucked up system, the more we suffer, the more the rich benefit. We have all tolerated this for too long. Do you agree?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
It sounds like you don't understand what life is, what personal accountability means, and how to take responsible action when things don't go your way.

Living the life of a victim, blaming others, and thinking your hope for a better future is in glorifying your victimization at the expense of "the rich" is an age-old fantasy because it lets you entirely off the hook.

You need to grow up, Mister, put shoes to pavement, and get a better paying job.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@EatTheRichUSA Listen you... you keep saying one thing, but also saying another. You want to blame rich people for being corrupt and keeping you down and then you want to claim you are not trying to get out of being accountable. You blame politicians for being fat. You blame rich people for taking money out of your pocket. You seem to have this angel-image of yourself and everyone who isn't in the same position as you as being evil and in your way (or trying to get into your pocket).

My point is stop blaming others for your situation and take accountability (and credit) for your own actions. Only you can hold yourself back. Get it...?
missyann · 56-60
@EatTheRichUSA I have definitely learned something from you and I thank you. I see the true humanity of hurt.

Just like every issue, there are people who just want to fight for the fight and ruins it for those who the issue is really about because everyone is put into the category of the angry rude because they are the loudest.

I would giving anything right now to be able to help you find an answer but I just don't have it 😥
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@missyann You’re learning, and you’re understanding things that a lot of people can’t. That is enough.
xp47rb · M
Americans live incredibly well. What we call a poverty level is actually a middle class income in most of the world. Jealousy of those who have wealth is common everywhere but nowhere do you have a better opportunity to acquire your own wealth than here.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@xp47rb I have to work full time, I can’t afford night school. I’m glad you’re doing well. I can only hope to get a job and save up to get out of this hellhole.
graphite · 61-69, M
@xp47rb Same here. Went to school all day, worked all evening, home at midnight. It can be done.
Wiseacre · F
@xp47rb said like a true american🙁
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
we were on the way towards change, but a bunch of whiny woketards got offended by his mean tweets... 🤔
graphite · 61-69, M
@EatTheRichUSA Sounds like you're expecting too much of yourself. Might want to take a step back and relax.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@graphite I guess you’re probably right. I’ve already done a lot of dangerous things. Maybe i should relax and wait for my opportunity.
@wildbill83 yeah most people don’t like to be involved in a fascist movement. Overthrowing the government and lying about the elections is not conducive to a peaceful nation
redredred · M
Do you know that the top 1% of earners pay 40% of all the taxes collected? Do you know that that same 1% pays at a rate of 27%? Do you know that the bottom 50% pays at a rate of 4%? Do you know that great wealth rarely survives 4 generations?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@redredred
I agree. There should be a flat, universal tax. Everybody should pay 10%. If you made a hundred billion last year, pay ten billion. If you made a hundred dollars last year, pay ten dollars. No exceptions, no deductions, nothing but a three line tax form.

The problem with a flat tax is that it is a con used against poor people.

https://smallbusiness.chron.com/pros-cons-flat-tax-4210.html
redredred · M
@Diotrephes no, the problem with a flat tax is it doesn’t allow for systemic cheating. Poor people pay their way everywhere else, they can pay taxes just like everyone else.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@redredred Taxes hurt poor people far more than they inconvenience billionaires. This is not church where everyone has to fork over 10% to fund the conmen preachers.
carpediem · 61-69, M
Like you know anything. 🙄 Is it your vast world experience? Your years of hard work? Or just another kid who doesn’t like to work?
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@carpediem Have you read my replies? I work every day to stay alive and post here in my free time. Which is not very much.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
Wealth inequality does suck, but it's mostly people from worse off places that see the country for how good it is. It beats being a slave in Libya or under the thumb of a dictatorship. Communism is authoritarian and stupid my dude, can't lead a country with resentment and weakness.

I'm for higher taxes on billionaires and such though, but we have it really good in the west compared to others.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@Graylight being vague and rude doesn't do you any favours. Have a good night
Graylight · 51-55, F
@Ryannnnnn Vague is in The eye of the beholder. Read the thread; no rudeness. You should be able to recognize an analogy and obtuseness is often a defense tactic. If that was not the case here, mea culpa.
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@Graylight 👍 ok
BlueVeins · 22-25
I mean yeah, and honestly that's hardly half the problem I have with this hellhole. It bothers me even more that we do things in such radically inefficient ways at no benefit to ourselves. Stuff like road repairs, daily commutes, making friends, filing taxes, and managing crime are way harder than they have to be just because we choose to keep it that way.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@BlueVeins We live in a hell in which only the corrupt, the LIARS can get anywhere. For every million dollars allotted someone dies, and i never forget that.

Actually, our babies and children are growing fat. But they are not growing fat from wealth. Rather, our cheapest foods are hyper processed and filled with dirt cheap government subsidized corn syrups. These cheap and unhealthy foods ironically make obesity an affliction for the poor who cannot afford the medical care that is needed for the conditions ultimately caused by the terrible diets. But I digress.

Revolution, particularly violent revolution, is an avenue doomed to failure. It is not a path we can take to reach the changes we desire. It would turn the wealthy into martyrs and even in success the people who rise to power through violent revolution often make for violent dictators when they obtain power themselves.

Where we need to start is a revolution of humanity. We need to once more build trust and camaraderie between neighbors and families. Build community networks to support those in need and build each other up instead of constantly trying to outcompete each other.

The existence of billionaires proves we live in an immoral system. But if we answer the immorality of exploitation with the immorality of violence, we shall simply exchange one immoral system for another and in doing so our very humanity will not be much improved.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@missyann Millions? Please, 5 million is nowhere near the group im talking about. And you just inherited it? That’s fine. And donating the majority to charity? You’re describing a philanthropist. If you started a business, underpaid and took advantage of the workers, hoarded your money, and used it to hush anyone who tried to speak up against you? Then you’d be who i was talking to. Those who take advantage of those who suffer? Underpay workers? Those are the ones i hate.
missyann · 56-60
@EatTheRichUSA Who exactly are these people you are referring too ? What businesses ? Who has paid hush money ? Who hoards money ?I I will answer I have no problem admitting I'm wrong, I am human I am wrong sometimes. But I can't answer if I don't know who the hell you are talking about.I
I
I'm not going to condemn someone without proof
Wiseacre · F
@ViciDraco great post👍
missyann · 56-60
Yes, there are problems. For one , we need stop fighting each others words. We are stuck on this woke BS and allow our politicians work on the " real " problems that plague this country.

We need to appreciate living in the best country in the world and libs and conservatives need to STOP fighting over PETTY BS. Okay we have different agenda issues. Stand up for what you think is important, but realize that if you get a little bit at a time, you are winning
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@missyann I agree, the utter narcissism and self centered whining has clouded real criticism in the west. It's good to have critical opinion but some people are so entitled and have no idea of the realities outside of their country.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@bowman81 Clearly, this account isn’t for you. Goodbye!
America is a very corrupt nation with a right wing political party that gives massive tax cuts to the rich at the expense of the working class.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@Ryderbike Ive been working class my whole life. The rich have treated me as dirt for too long. We suffer to put money in the rich man’s pocket.
America and its attitude towards work is dysfunctional. The protestant work ethic is a mutant cancer and our society and its religious obsession around work is problematic as fucking hell its so bad it has people apologizing just for taking a break and resting and every time someone complains about working long hours some other fucknut one ups them like its some kind of flex to be an overworked american.

Work is good, we take it way too far though. Work = good. American Attitude about work = toxic
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@BetweenKittensandRiots Those who can barely survive should not be forced to work constantly for the right to exist.
Yes, but I can't imagine anarchy being a better alternative. I think that would just turn into an ancap society where people have even less democratic control over laws.
missyann · 56-60
@BohemianBabe I've been responding with the same anger he does. I just want him to tell me exactly who he means. He's just so angry, but I need to realize he's probably venting like I have.

Thank you.. I guess he's blocked me. I feel bad. I take for granted that although my parents were married lat 17 ( me ) my Dad was able to get a union manufacturing job with full benefits. They stayed married until death. We had everything we needed and most of what we wanted. I was fortunate enough to live at home until I was 22. Most people went to college because they wanted too not because they had too. I never had to be on my own

I do realize that the Gen Zs don't have the same opportunities. But liberal politicians are just as selfish as conservatives. No that don't have as much as Trump hit they have 2 and 3 homes and send their kids to private schools.

If we go to socialism they will still be the only ones who will have all of the money. But.I guess everyone else will be poor so it might seem more fair. Generations to through cycles. The depression era had nothing, post WW11 grew so the next ( my parents were able to give, the next ( mine ) have less now it's starting over. The only difference technologically makes side that everybody knows about their anger so they are called entitled
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@missyann Those who take advantage of others, who hoard their wealth, those who use money and lies to avoid justice. Those are the ones I hate. Don’t fight with me, nobody forces you to stay here.
@missyann
But liberal politicians are just as selfish as conservatives.

Liberal politicians are bad too, but their policies have been much better for the working-class. Notice how America always does better under Democrat presidents.
I'm not a Liberal, I'm a Leftist. But Liberalism is WAY better than Conservatism.

If we go to socialism they will still be the only ones who will have all of the money.

With Socialism, rich people will be taxed to pay for social programs. They'll still be rich, but wealth would be more evenly distributed throughout the country.

Yes agree. Love your username. I wrote a poem long ago called Eat the poor, about going to prison..
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M
I'm okay with it
Graylight · 51-55, F
Everyone agrees. The question is, what's the solution you bring to the table?
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@Graylight Haha, i guess my views are a little old fashioned. I’m just looking for a real change.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@EatTheRichUSA I just love the terminology. But honestly, hasn't this always been the fight? What's old is new again.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@Graylight Thanks. But yes, it’s kind of troubling when you remeber that we’ve been fighting for years and there are still people trying to debate me and devalue my experience. So sad that not everyone can understand.
KiwiBird · 36-40, F
So you are only interested in debate with Americans?
That will be your loss.
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@KiwiBird I have no accurate experience of living in a different country. Do you want to educate me?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout You misread what i’m saying. I am an American. This country needs a real change.
graphite · 61-69, M
@EatTheRichUSA Have you lived anywhere else? Checked out the standard of living elsewhere?
EatTheRichUSA · 22-25, M
@graphite Do you think i have the money to move? Besides, whether or not a different country has it worse does not mean that it cannot be better here.
