I'm a white liberal and I don't hate my own race.

I've seen different political posts talking about race and I wanted to say I'm not a white supremacist but I don't think my own race should be held accountable for things are ancestors did. I know that the Native American Genocide, slavery, and Jim Crow are wrongs that happened in U.S History. I do think past wrongdoings should be talked about and not censored, I'm also ok with Black History Month. I am against hate crimes no matter who is doing it and I believe in Police Reform but not abolishing the police. I wish everyone would be nicer to each other, Jesus loves all of us no matter the race, so we should love each other too.

But white people today are still enjoying advantages their ancestors gained for them by oppressing people of other races.

@BohemianBoo
a lot of people didn't realize that (they) were the butt of the joke
Nobody like that on here, eh? 😄
@Gorps I know everything.
@BohemianBoo Paul the alien 😯

Congratulations on not bowing down to the latest trend of virtue signaling white guilt at the altar of woke cultural Marxism. Are you certain you're a liberal though? As a Mexican American born here in the US who's one-quarter Native American, I agree one should in no way be made to pay for the acts of someone else. Nor pay for the sins of their fathers so to speak.

What about reparations? Well you don't hear me complaining I should be awarded moneys for the Mexican-American War in 1846 where my ancestors claim they were robbed of five states, and should receive money. My ancestors may have indeed suffered, but that doesn't mean I should deserve recompense nor pay for anything they may have done wrong. The same for slavery reparations. That's why we left England in the first place long ago when sons would be forced to pay for their father's remaining debt after they died. Taxation without representation.

white liberals get offended so easily even we poc laugh at them
@SW-User You used the term "poc" so you're automatically wrong.
carpediem · 61-69, M
Uh oh... thinking for yourself? Your liberal overlords won't like that. Watch your back.
4meAndyou · F
@carpediem Don't tease him...😉. He sounds like a really nice kid. 😉
TheRascallyOne · 31-35, M
Yeah sounds like you're a rational person so that makes you a republican
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Vin53

Like I said, it depends on whom you ask.
Vin53 · M
@Thinkerbell I go by what they do, not by what they say.
Slade · 56-60, M
@Thinkerbell Castro always got 99% of the vote. Pics screams he was so wildly popular he should have got more.

And nobody ever disputed them because they were completely up and up!

@Slade

Now, now, Slade... I know a few liberals that aren't batsh*t crazy woke.
If in my Country if someone tried to lecture a white family on a Blackpool council estate (housing project) about their make believe privelege, they'd get their teeth kicked in.
Gorps · 51-55, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic
n my Country if someone tried ...... they'd get their teeth kicked in
How very English ? 🙂
@Gorps Are you a yank? Do you get all your information on us based on 'love actually'?
Gorps · 51-55, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic No and No. In this instance I got my information from yourself. 'In my country" ... 'Blackpool' ... 'they'd get their teeth kicked in.'
Torsten · 36-40, M
wow a liberal with some common sense. A rare thing indeed
Vin53 · M
@Torsten You cared enough to denigrate without any substance.
Torsten · 36-40, M
@Vin53 till he showed you that he doesnt hate his own race?
Vin53 · M
@Torsten so why would one hate the person they are?
TexChik · F
You are a liberal and yet claim to be a Christian?
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@TexChik Jesus was a liberal hippy.
TexChik · F
@badminton I wasn’t talking to you was I?
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@TexChik What can I say? I am such a scamp.

Gorps · 51-55, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Sorry; blues player? I've lost track of whatever you refer to. Please explain?
@Gorps You're screenshoting my conversation.
Gorps · 51-55, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic Is 'screenshoting' an offence? I wonder why, but if so I apologise; I did it to illustrate the reason for the emphatic style of my post (which someone thought inappropriate)

I don't understand your reference to 'your conversation' This is a thread (or topic) on a forum open to all members. There's a separate function for private conversations ; and what's this about a blues player?
Carissimi · F
Thank you for keeping your sanity. I do disagree about so called hate crimes. A crime is a crime, period. “Hate” crime is a euphemism for a Thought Crime. If the crime is heinous, then there should be an appropriate penalty. The so called hate crime label is only used for a certain population. It’s discriminatory and used for political gain by one party. It’s the same for the so-called hate speech.
PatKirby · M
@Carissimi

^Bingo^ The real 'hate' comes from the punisher to the punished through the hate punishment system impose on others. They just want to inflict their beloved, favorite new toy on the populace. These are heinous people, no wonder Trump wants to clean the swamp so much.

I'm more of a Democrat now, after years of being a proud liberal, and am also an atheist. But your thoughts mirror mine. Liberals have been painted in a cartoonish light by those who live in fear of the "other." I can't change what happened hundreds of years ago. All I can so is deal with what is happening NOW. I don't believe in reparations. I do believe in progress.
@BritishFailedAesthetic I'm not up to date on all of the deranged conspiracy theories in right-wing media. Use more words.
@BohemianBoo Yeah maimstream media is conspiracy- ok.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Bruh. Fox pundits were promoting conspiracy theories about the 2020 election, which we now know they didn't really believe because their texts were made public during lawsuits. Yes, there is mainstream right-wing media that promotes conspiracy theories with zero evidence.
Honestly, what you are saying sounds far more conservative than liberal.
NO ONE now should be held accountable for ANYTHING our ancestors did. The only ones who think so are looking for a freebie payday.
@Diotrephes I haven't forgotten anything. Racism exists..........should not.......but it does and most likely always will. But that wasn't the discussion. Your take is if someone's grandfather killed someone ...then the grandkid should go to prison for it. And that is just stiupid. And that IS ur take on paying now for what happened 100 years ago.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@anythingoes477 It is happening this very minute, from coast to coast and border to border. Do you need examples?
@Diotrephes Lots of truly stupid things are happening right this minute. Look at McCarthy and the House. Mass stupidity dont make anything smart or right.
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@storykid In the Bible, people are held responsible for the things their ancestors for 10 generations.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Diotrephes

Wow, they were really tough on b*stards, Moabites and Ammonites. 😲
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Vin53 Have you ever considered making a XXX-rate movie of you doing that?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Imagine being a Moabite bastard. That would probably bar you for 20 generations.
easy there robert byrd...
4meAndyou · F
I am a conservative Independent voter, and I agree with you on everything except the police issue. I do not think reform is being conducted appropriately anywhere, where it is being tried. It is a societal experiment, and it is failing abysmally.
I don’t like being lumped in with the white people who did all that. Eastern Europe was not involved in that BS. That was you Indo and Western Europeans.
white liberal CUCK

Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."
- Romans 9:13-15

According to the bible God does have people he hates. Unless you think God and Jesus are two different beings. But that isn't what American Christianity says.
