BREAKING: AG Merrick Garland Names Former Hague Prosecutor Jack Smith as Special Counsel to Investigate Trump for Jan 6. and Mar-a-Lago Documents

Oh oh.

It’s getting very real now,
Ynotisay · M
And he's the real deal. Harvard educated and led the Justice Department’s public integrity section. That's about investigating politicians and public figures accused of corruption. Read a quote of his earlier. Gives me some optimism.

"...if I were the sort of person who could be cowed — ‘I know we should bring this case, I know the person did it, but we could lose, and that will look bad’ — I would find another line of work. I can’t imagine how someone who does what I do or has worked with me could think that.”

Sounds like the right person for the job. So yeah. It's getting real.

The thing that gets lost in this whole thing is that if anyone else in America had Top Secret documents in their house...except for former president trump....we would of already been in jail!

Think
@samueltyler2 "A president can declassify files just by thinking about it." 🤔 Is there a medical term for someone who believes that, and says it out loud? I wonder which files he declassified?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@softspokenman i don't thing that there is a term accepted by the classification of mental illness that is appropriate for #45, I prefer the vernacular, he is just NUTS!
Garland, an Obama nominee for the Supreme Court. Rejected. Picked up by the current administration. A flunky for Biden and a spiteful vindictive man who doesn’t have a clue.

@soar2newhighs so ketones germane to this discussion. We seek the truth!
@samueltyler2 just saw that you were in forensic medicine, which I find interesting mostly in the various books I have read on it.
@soar2newhighs Using misinformation or disinformation to smear and subjugate anyone who believes that "No one is above the law" is typical of trump and his election deniers. I wont go over the past 6 years of trumps 'divide and conquer' attempts to destroy democracy and the Constitution. It's not debatable it's a fact. If trump isn't prosecuted and found guilty and sentenced for his obvious crimes, then that would mean "The cure is worse than the Disease." IMO. there is no way in hell that will happen.
Garbage. Its too much of the same shit. Whats the definition of insanity, doing the samething over n over expecting a different result, correct? You left wing nuts are by definition insane.
@Vin53 im glad to see you turned the corner, honestly im surprised.

Since when are stealing top secret dox, attempting to corrupt an election, inciting an insurrection on our Capital all the same thing?

{@ryderbike] 🤔trump must be running scared now as if these inquiries link trump to the january sixth insurrection the only house he will be in for four years is the big house behind bars😆
Former Attorney General Bill Barr said the Department of Justice seems to “have the basis for legitimately indicting” his ex-boss, former President Donald Trump.

On Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the DOJ is handing over its investigations into Trump to a special counsel. Garland said the move is in the “public interest” after Trump declared his candidacy for president earlier this week.

It delays things again!!! Next, it will be too close to the election.
Trump will be indicted . The wheels of Justice grind slowly but a very fine grind indeed,
@sunsporter1649

OMG!!!! HAHAHAHA🤣You will never learn little man.🤣
@sunsporter1649 You’re talking about the constitutional expert that Republicans use all the time Jonathan Turley. Those are the words that I copied and pasted.
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
@Ryderbike So? Let that "constitutional expert" debate Mark Levin on meritless garlands latest bullschiff
@sunsporter1649 Turley is who the republicans use all the time.
He was the one they called during the impeachment to help trump .

You’re not well informed are you?
Human1000 · M
It's getting very slowed down now, too. Advantage Trump.
@Human1000 every single judge who’s ever ruled in a court room understands the risks. Did you think Merrick Garland with some green newbie?
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
@Ryderbike every single person in the country knows the only thing different now than 6 weeks ago is that #45 came out and said he is running for president, that changed nothing. this thing is absurd.
@samueltyler2

I’m a logical thinker you’ll have to chat with someone else
Meh. It's still America. The upper-class is still above the law.
I don't think Trump will end up in prison.
Trump says he will not partake in this. His exact words.
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays He has the best words ..lol
Is it getting real now or is it starting over again now?

@Stereoguy better tell bill barr the FORMER AG

On Friday, Attorney General Merrick Garland announced the DOJ is handing over its investigations into Trump to a special counsel. Garland said the move is in the “public interest” after Trump declared his candidacy for president earlier this week.
@Stereoguy oh and let’s not forget the Republican constitutional professor

Fox News legal analyst Jonathan Turley argued “there are real risks here for the former president” upon news that Attorney General Merrick Garland was appointing a special counsel to oversee probes into Donald Trump.

“It’s really Mar-a-Lago that I would be most worried about if I were on the Trump team and that team may have to change,” Turley argued, noting that while the newly appointed special counsel, Jack Smith, will probe both Trump’s involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol and his retention of documents from the White House – the latter is where he sees real legal danger for Trump.
@Stereoguy according to you. If a guy goes out and robs a bank . All he has to do is say he’s running for president and he can’t be charged.

And you wonder why you’re a trump supporter with that kind of IQ?
