Donald Trump knows that an investigation into him if he is innocent would be wonderful because he could use it in 2024. The fact that Donald Trump right now is freaking out attacking everybody over this, tells you he knows what’s coming.

@Human1000 you’re assuming the investigation has been stopped waiting for the new boss. This investigation has never been completed, it’s ongoing as they collect new evidence. The January 6 committee exposed a ton of evidence. And right now the intelligence agencies are investigating to find out how much damage Trump has done with the classified material that he stole. All of those people will continue to work.

@Human1000 I don’t think you’re understanding what’s going on. Garland would not have implemented a special prosecutor unless Donald Trump declared his candidacy. This is what changed it. Garland does not want the investigation to look political because he was appointed by Joe Biden. If Joe Biden decides to run against Donald Trump and Joe Biden‘s Attorney General is investigating Donald Trump, that looks like a conflict of interest. Donald Trump announced his candidacy in order to stop the investigation but Garland outsmarted him by appointing a special counsel.

@Ryderbike This will always looks political to the other side, though. I know you don't think the Republicans would back off now and say "Yeah, I guess they are being fair."

An indictment also could have come a month ago. Garland is scared, and I get it, but this is where history put him.

@Ryderbike I wouldn't call it absurd given the death threats people get when opposing Trump, and that there is a cult surrounding Trump. Indicting a former President is big deal indeed. It would give any reasonable thinking person a lot to consider. Garland has put Trump above the law, and that's where Trump is happiest.
