The speaker made a comment about liberals comparing Putin to Hitler/Nazis -- and then added, "As if there's something wrong with that." And then he laughed and said something about, "Ooo, I'll get in trouble, we cant say that."

Well, it is interesting. I seem to be hearing simultaneously "Biden is weak because he won't send in the troops!" and also "Putin is right to be fighting the liberal globalist Zelensky!"

I don't think most conservatives are defending Putin, but the only people I do see defending Putin are conservatives. Putin is far-right after all and Zelensky is very much a globalist and a progressive.

Because they want America to be run like Putin runs Russia. They want white supremacy, a regimented militaristic social order, and tightly run routines. You know, like they think it used to be... in their romanticized if faulty remembered good old days.

I don't know of anyone liberal or conservative who likes Putin or what he is doing. Unfortunately short of destroying the entire world there isn't much anyone can do about it. Sanctions won't likely work in time to stop him and I am sure some countries will say all the right things and then continue to trade with Russia anyway. The only effective means of stopping him would be complete isolation from the rest of the world (which I would wholeheartedly support), an uprising within Russia (again I would support it but a lot of people would die) or total nuclear annihilation which would kill nearly 100 million people in the first six hours or so. As far as America goes, I love this country, not too fond of the way things are changing within the country but I accepted awhile back that I am old and my opinions on politics don't matter anymore. We now live in a nation governed by impeachment and greed for power.
