Why do conservatives suddenly love Putin and hate America?

@TheRascallyOne It's idiotic and irrational? That's the best news I've had all morning. It's so nice to hear that Conservatives are outraged by Putin and condemn his illegal and brutal invasion of Ukraine just like the rest . You'd have to be certifiably insane to support Putin and war, right?

I've come across alot of crazies that say they are conservative and proud of it over the past week who also do outright claim to support Putin and some claim to like what is happening in Ukraine. It's worrying tbh.

@Scribbles Let me say this: some "conservatives" are crazy. Many progressives are more so or, even worse, collude with the woke left who do hate America.. Bernie Sanders didn't think we should get involved in Ukraine.
As the world is, perhaps belatedly, doing, we should all condemn Putin, the "small, evil feral-eyed man" [Mitt Romney's words] and do what we can to defeat him.
One of the major weapons we have is the amount of oil and gas the United States has and which can be used to loosen the stranglehold Putin has on Europe. But John Kerry, Brandon and the climate cultists won't take the steps because it is against their religion.

@LamontCranston I don't agree with your views on progressives. But I do think there are radicals and crazies on both sides.

The important thing is like you pointed out that we ALL condemn Putin and do what we can to defeat him. Thank you for mentioning that.

While I disagree that America or NATO are responsible for Russian imperialism, that's not a crazy idea. Republicans saying Putin is a genius for invading Ukraine is an actual crazy idea.

@BohemianBabe i know of no one, Rpublican or otherwise, who calls Putin a genius of invading Ukraine. Previously, people of all stripes referred to him as calculating, shrewd, clever, machiavellian, etc. (None of these imply virtue). It may be he has severely miscalculated.
As to Anti-semetic and radical crazy Tlaib, this s the first time a person of the same party as the president gave a response speech, which is in effect a rebuttal.

And how is it radical for her to give a rebuttal? Just because she's in the same party as Biden? She disagrees with him, the Democrats don't all worship Biden like the Republicans worship Trump.

Anyway Kim Reynolds had a wonderfully perinent and impressive rebuttal to Biden's lackluster SOTU.

@LamontCranston Yeah, that's what Trump always does. He says something unhinged, his people tell him what he did wrong, then he walks it back. But then a few weeks later, he'll go back to saying said unhinged thing. Plus, there's a pattern of Authoritarianism with Trump. If he could, he'd turn America into a fascist state.

Also, what exactly do you mean by radical? Radical ideas aren't always bad.
