Why would Joe Biden make a good President?

Let's try an actual answer this time. He's not Trump is just a lazy BS answer. Surely you great Liberal Democrats can give an actual real response and not the inane drivel you usually spout.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
Why do you care? You think there's a knockout argument that will make you go "OH WOW NOW I GET IT."

Trump's presidency is an insane catastrophe the likes of which the US has not seen in a very long time. The economy has collapsed, countless are out of work, there's riots everywhere, 155k people are dead in half a fucking year, there's secret police on the streets and concentration camps on the border, and the fastest growing belief in the US is a conspiracy theory that believes there are mole people under New York being harvested for adrenochrome.

Biden not being Trump is basically all people need.
Northwest · M
Why would Joe Biden make a good President?

Several reasons:

1. He is a one term president.

2. He will be driving a platform focused on improving healthcare, education and our infrastructure.

3. While he will make sure military spending is adequate, he will not make it the center piece of his agenda.

4. He will back programs designed to reform the police and our justice system.

5. He will not contribute to racially divisive issues.

Let's try an actual answer this time. He's not Trump is just a lazy BS answer. Surely you great Liberal Democrats can give an actual real response and not the inane drivel you usually spout.

A strawman, but when did you ever come up with an actual question.
@Driver2 LOL you actually think BLM is "communist." You probably also think Donald Trump is a "conservative." ROTFLMAO
Driver2 · M
@LeopoldBloom they said they are and the main fundraiser was in prison for conspiracy to bomb government offices . They are leftist not wimpy liberals.
Look into it.
@Driver2 I did. Patrisse Cullors, one of the three BLM founders, made a statement once that she was a "trained Marxist." Big fucking deal.

Ted Cruz' father was a Dominionist, meaning he wanted to impose an Old Testament theocracy on the United States by force. Therefore, according to your reasoning, that should define the entire Republican party.
JeanAnna · F
Biden is a decent human being, a good family man, was a good Senator and knows how to get things done, cares for the American people. He's intelligent not like that moron we have in the White House now. Biden will be a great president.
revenant · F
You still have not got a proper answer
I think the Biden supporters only care about winning and power
Not much talk about policies
Elessar · 26-30, M
@revenant What does that have anything to do with the economic policing?

But speaking of that, the alt-right populists here (Salvini) were in the majority coalition for one year (spring 2018 - summer 2019) before they threw themselves out of the window, and in spite of all the anti-migrant campaign when they were at the opposition they've done absolutely nothing to fix the problem. They instead pushed the umpteenth useless electoral gift, i.e. anticipating the retirement age. And thankfully they weren't in charge amid the pandemic, considering the guy says one thing one day and the opposite thing the next day, depending on the direction of the wind I guess.
revenant · F
@Elessar did not Salvini want to stop the human trafficking business from Africa?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@revenant Yeah, just like I want to end hunger in the world. Everybody is good at speaking, but when it comes to really working towards solving a situation for real, few can do.

As a plus, the migrant crisis is precisely what gets him votes, you can imagine how much he'd be interested in solving the issue for real. 😅

1. Biden will take away our guns. He will have Beto do it. Hell YES!!! Because Biden doesn't want us to shoot the criminals...ALL criminal life matters. Except for...

2. Evil NUNS!!! Biden will force nuns to provide morning after abortion pills and health coverage for abortions at their schools and charitable institutions, and will also force ALL American taxpayers to PAY for Planned Parenthood abortions with their federal taxes, up to nine months, and it doesn't matter what deeply held religious belief those rotten old NUNS have, or the silly taxpayers. (That's why his own priest is refusing to give him communion). Because Biden is tough on religion. REALLY takes a stand there. Tough guys don't care what God thinks.

3. Biden will support the hippie governors and mayors who want to help anarchists. That's HUGE. I also heard that he has an entire line of riot gear which he is about to put into production, called Anarchists R US, and any rioter who complains that they are getting hurt by the police while rioting will be eligible for free military grade rioting gear, including commercial lasers so they can blind the police before they roast them to death.

4. And I think it is sooo cool that AOC will stop all fossil fuel shipments of food to our big cities...because that is polluting the air and contributing to global warming, and all those people eating their heads off are contributing to world hunger...so really, isn't it better if they all get really, really skinny and die?

5. And I love the new tee shirts we are all getting for free when we vote for Biden! Red, with this symbol on the front...白痴.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti I doubt that. The next VP, if Biden is elected, will be a puppet and a victim also. Barack Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer, followed by the squad, are all set up to run things...and the VP, just like Biden, had best learn that quickly.
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@4meAndyou

Trying to Force the Little Sisters of the Poor to fund abortions fits in the same category as trying to force a conscientious objector to be part of a firing squad.
4meAndyou · F
@Heartlander You got that right...and almost half of the rest of the country feel the same way.
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
Neither candidate would make a good president. Welcome to America same old same old.
Graylight · 51-55, F
@KickfaceK Therapy is affordable and accessible these days.
KickfaceK · 31-35, F
@Graylight so are hookers and drugs, but I choose to abstain from those too. Youre the one who commented back to my comment saying neither were good choices. Which is true. I wasn't for the other side which is who you should be against. I'm for neither.

I don't think Biden is the best choice, but at least he is a decent person who cares about other people. That alone puts him head and shoulders over Trump
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
I don't think your capable of understanding the answer. Since you cannot tell the difference between a Democrat and a Liberal.

I'm an independent - and honestly I can't imagine why anyone would want the job first of all. I think a few years ago, much like Hillary was when she ran against Obama - he would have been a stronger candidate. He's physically a little unsure and that makes for bad optics. What also bothers me is he's pandering to the Dems far-far left...that's not who he is. When you throw CV19 and all it's ills in the mix (not just now but years from now), this is really a troublesome time for our country. I wish more people would get involved with their local politics (city, state, etc.) and be as passionate about it as they are w/this Trump vs. Joe thing. The states wield way more power and have much more influence over our daily lives! Just saying.
JoeyFoxx · 56-60, M
@luctoretemergo it’s ironic that the 60s hippies are the idiots running the country at the moment

If you are a Trump supporter, why waste time asking this?
Biden wouldn't make a good president. Nor would the other Democratic candidates in the primary. Just like Trump isn't a good president. Nor would have the other Republican candidates in 2016.

That's politics in America. We're going to be played as long as we're stuck in this bipartisan cannibalism.
Good for a laugh I guess. 🤷‍♂️
DiscreetWriter · 51-55, M
I think another interesting question would be, "What makes a good president?" Is it solely decided by how much their policies match your point of view? What about character? Can a good person be a bad president? Can an evil / bad / selfish person be a good president?

What if there was an evil person who's policies completely matched yours and they brought prosperity to the country? Or vise-versa?

OMEGA · M
IMHO, he'd be an abysmally awful president... But those actively pushing Biden, those who finance, advertise and support his campaign likely see him as easy to use and control in order to advance the whims of their agendas that someone else might not get on board with so easily.

He's a great pawn, but would be an awful leader.

@OMEGA He'd hand the keys to Nancy and Chuck so he could focus his attention on stuffing his pockets.
Who cares if he’s a great president. That may not be possible for anyone. We need to get Twitler out of the White House, and Biden is the only realistic option.

By the way, he was my next to last choice for the nomination.
@t3kkno if hilldawg survives / delays her sep deposition.. she’s out the bull pen.. 100%

@t3kkno No, they can't pull a surprise nomination. Biden is the only Dem who has the delegates needed for the nomination. It's a lock. He will be officially nominated at the convention.
@t3kkno Not a chance, especially since Biden is doing so well. Trump is the one who needs a game-changer.

Joe Biden would make a good president of the USA - said no one ever. If he were not afflicted with dementia that is getting worse every day he would still be a racist, a sexual pervert and utterly corrupt based solely on his record.

Hmm???

He would restore the rich tradition of Democrat corruption.

Imagine the payoffs that Hunter Biden and all the Bidens and friends of the Bidens will be able to collect around the globe under a President Biden.
QuixoticSoul · 41-45, M
He’ll be fine.
Peapod · 61-69, F
I think he has compassion and experience. I can see him being the sort of person that will listen to his advisors instead of firing everyone that don't blindly agree with him. I also think he will pick an excellent VP.

@JAYS21 I guess at this point in time even Caligula's horse would be seen as a better candidate for many, and I can see why.
He is demented and senile and would not be a good fit as POTUS -
@MarmeeMarch You mean Trump.

Biden will surround himself with competent advisors and cabinet members, so it won't matter how on the ball he is.
easterniowegin · 51-55, M
You cannot ask a question in logic of people who will be voting based on emotions. They don't align.

Well this seems like a sincere post that is interested in an actually informative conversation.

There’s zero inflammatory language in the post that suggests rhetorical sarcasm.

At all.

Lots forget that Biden was VP to Obama. Did Biden stop the wars that Obama started ? the oh so empathetic Biden ?
@QuixoticSoul where else is a trump supporter supposed to get information??

He will be a terrible president. Bought and paid for long ago. But a thousand times better than Trump. If Trump is reelected there will be nothing left in 2024.

Translation: "Wahhh! Most people don't like Trump and have a different opinion from me! I don't feel validated!"

Anyway, to answer your question, he wouldn't make a good president.
@GeistInTheMachine A black Trump supporter. 🤣
monte3 · 70-79, M
First of all “he is not trump” is a sufficient reason to vote for him.
Our democracy WILL survive and hopefully prosper under a Biden, but I am not so sure it will survive another 4 trump years.
He wouldn't make a good president. That's the simple answer.
@Graylight OK. His hair plugs would impede his decision making in a crisis. Is that a good answer with some reasoning?
Graylight · 51-55, F
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays And to think, you're allowed to vote.
@Graylight God bless America! 🇺🇸

The United States is so messed up at this point, that I don't even think it can possibly be repaired. It's beyond fixing.
He wouldn't. He would mandate wearing masks. And a covid vaccine.

for 50 years he was wrong may b he will get it right this time
