I had a wild cat running around my farm for at least four years, and I needed a mousing cat around my house and barn. So, this fall when I would see her staring at me before running off to hide. I would look at her and say, "Meow, Meow, Meow". She would look at me like saying How do you know how to speak my language and then run off. But every time she would appear she would come closer to the weirdo Meowing at her. She finally came about 20 feet away and sat and Meowed back at me as I meowed at her. I put food out and went into the house, she ate it eventually coming to me over a months' time and began to allow me to touch her when I fed her as she hissed at me. Now she runs to me and rolls over like a dog at my feet wanting me to rub her belly like my dogs do purring up a storm. She made her own home in my barn, and I keep food and water out for her 24/7 and she takes care of the mice and rats for me.
So, always being a Dog person the only name, I could come up with for her is Meow, Meow Kitty or Pretty Kitty.
My little dogs were a white Bichon Poo, and a light brown Cocker poo, and I named them Cocoa and Sugar. I used to kid around and say that together, they made a lot of fudge!!!🤣🤣🤣
My last adopted cat, who was rescued from a kill shelter in New York by the vet who had the adoption event, was named "Skittles" because he was a stray with no real name and was very skittish at first. I re-named him when he became mine..."Scout". He was just like an army scout...VERY cautious...had to check out the territory first before entering it...🤣🤣🤣
We've had all three of those names!! Cool!!! We had a pure white male named Mr. Daisy, our youngest cat's name is Jasper for a girl... Valley is a cute name, Peetsu, Bumble Bee, or Lady Bug, O'rion, are some names...
I’ve had dogs named Scampy. Whiskers , and Cece. I’ve lived w women who had cats named Elvis and Jack. Growing up a neighbor had a dog named Fatso. All are cool names.
We've had several pets over the years. We found it's best to wait a while before naming them. They'll eventually name themselves by doing something or getting into something or doing nothing at all. We had a cat named Football, not a great but appropriate, you couldn't take a step without kicking him. He was always right under your feet.
