Why do people write reviews for products that I've just received & have yet to use?

Because they were asked to by the company they ordered the product from. I don't get it either. Why write something like "I don't know yet, I've only been using it for a week" on a product that is advertised as something that shows results only after a month or later? They just clutter the space with irrelevant posts.

"I love this, works perfectly, owned it for 3 months, haven't used it yet, but I love it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐, still in box, will buy again"

I like ones who leave one star reviews for places and say they’ve never been there.

I have two reviews I haven`t written yet because I have used the product as of yet, I should write one saying give me a chance to use it. 🙄

I don't do reviews

Usually because they've been bribed by the company to leave a good review, it's rife on amazon.

They think they're still in school sitting at the desk and you gotta do your own work... no cheating!

I write reviews and read them too but only after proper usage or an immediate default

Who has time to stop and write product reviews on the interwebby 🤷🏻‍♂

They do it to send secret encoded messages to their handlers.
