Is 'hello out there' offensive?

I responded this way to a dm I got. He called me patronizing and blocked me.

It could be patronizing and offensive if you wrote first to a friend who has been distant, but in response I can't see how. Some have their angry response already lined up that has nothing to do with you.

Sounds like he did you a favor. They think they are being so aggressive but blocking is such a weak position to take. And yes I know blocking some people is necessary.
