Is 'hello out there' offensive?
I responded this way to a dm I got. He called me patronizing and blocked me.

Not at all.
For me it would come across like a call into the blind when a bit uncertain if anyone is listening or paying attention.
Wasn't there once a TV serious built around "Car 54, where are you?" Same thing.
