HumanEarth · 56-60, F
My twin boys are 31 they won't fall for it

@HumanEarth lol 😆
Matt85 · 36-40, M
I haven't really tried any, In my family we just get on the floor with a sponge or a cloth.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@Matt85 that really gets things clean
Matt85 · 36-40, M
@Notsimilarreally I can see how it can be more thorough.
ImpeccablyImperfect · 51-55, F
I use this one…I like it because I can easily remove and wash the heads. I just throw them in the washing machine 😉
Livingwell · 61-69, M
@ImpeccablyImperfect We have an electric one that dispenses hot soapy water.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@ImpeccablyImperfect that is a really convenient feature, I've used them when I cleaned houses. They are probably the best as far as rope mops imo.
BizSuitStacy · M
I use a Swifter on the tile and vinyl floors. I have a cloth mop that was designed for the hardwoods.
WillaKissing · 56-60
@BizSuitStacy I heard Travis Kelce likes to use a Swifter too on any surface!! LOL
BizSuitStacy · M
@WillaKissing he uses it to polish his wood 😁
subhubby · 56-60, M
For our floors, I always use a steam mop. Only water -most of the time distilled. Always thoroughly vacuum first.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
I have a spin mop.
@Fungirlmmm My mother has one of those, it takes her forever to mop because she thinks she has to spin it nearly dry.
Fungirlmmm · 51-55, F
@NativePortlander1970 lol it is great if you use it accurately lol.
@Fungirlmmm True, she doesn't get the concept it has to be a bit wet in order to properly mop.
Ontheroad · M
I've got an older pre swiffer-like mop (a Libman) but I don't use the pads and instead use old towels I've cut up, I use a Lysol and hot water solution, wet the rags, lay it out on the floor, and using the libman scrub the floors. When the rag gets a little dirty, I wet and put down a new one and continue cleaning.

Swiffers
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@Arantxa ah, yeah those are good for wiping up little messes and also in between actually cleaning with soap and water.....
Arantxa · 18-21, F
@Notsimilarreally small apartment , wet swifter is enough :)
@Arantxa I have a small apartment as well, but they're renovating all of our apartments to hardwood flooring one by one, I have the last apartment number so I'm looking at about 18 months before they get to mine, so I'll be getting one of these.

I use a regular mop. My daughter who lives at home uses a spin mop. There are 10 people living in this house. Grown children and grandchildren.
Madmonk · M
I like the traditional mop. It’s only as good as the mop bucket though. And you need a different one for wax. So it definitely has its limitations.
Any suggestions for hardwood flooring?
@soar2newhighs Shark claims their steam mops are the only ones approved by many hardwood flooring manufacturers.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@soar2newhighs I have moped hardwood with a regular mop and bucket, sponge style, and when I do that I just make sure not to get the wood too wet. It's do able without causing damage if you're careful.Then dry/polish with microfiber mop. Some people may just use a microfiber mop wet. There are different head styles
@Notsimilarreally Thanks.
Missbirdie1986 · 36-40, F
I don’t clean anything anymore either my brother mops or my mum or the cleaner
DearAmbellina2113 · 41-45, F
Bissell Crosswave. It vacuums, washes your floor, and sanitizes it all in one.
Sojournersoul · M
One that has a woman attached to it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I like the one with the squeeze water out attachment. Easy to please.

Libman wonder mop
MethDozer · M
As a one time janitor. Rope mop is the only way to go. If along mops worked better, you'd aww janitors using them, but you rarely id ever do.
Notsimilarreally · 31-35, F
@MethDozer stop crushing my dreams...
I feel like they pick up more dirty water and ropes just kind of spread it. I can really penetrate the small crevices with hot soapy water and then it all picks up. In my house I use the sponge mop and then a Hoover floor steamer mop thinga majig. Clean as a whistle

pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@MethDozer for industrial use surely
Swiffer, because you can throw the wet pads away.
