As a one time janitor. Rope mop is the only way to go. If along mops worked better, you'd aww janitors using them, but you rarely id ever do.

@Notsimilarreally They're tougher and scrub better. Don't fall apart ass easy. Sponge mops are just for quick rinses imho. I was always taught sponge mops are for very light use and after having done floors as a job totally agree.

I feel like they pick up more dirty water and ropes just kind of spread it. I can really penetrate the small crevices with hot soapy water and then it all picks up. In my house I use the sponge mop and then a Hoover floor steamer mop thinga majig. Clean as a whistle
