What do you do to soothe yourself

When you are experiencing emotional pain?
Walk
Hot shower/bath and tea.
Pray/meditate on worship music
ASMR video
A mild sedative/relaxant
Deep breathing
Mindfulness - focusing on your immediate environment
Surrendering your fear and sorrow to God and leave it there.

Lately, when it’s bad, I dance to worship music. 😬 I can’t dance to save my life, but it’s worked wonderfully both times I tried it.

I try to immediately distance myself from others and let it storm through.
Vigorous walk alone in the woods is great, hot showers too.
If I absolutely had to be stuck around people I'd probably take a benzodiazepine.

normally hanging with my son. He is the best distraction in the world to me because when he is with me, nothing else matters. He is my only focus, it also helps that he is very entertaining..
If he is not around and at his mothers, Alcohol helps

@MartinTheFirst klapp -teknik på svenska. Du klappar lätt med fingrarna på vissa "zoner" på kroppen och ansiktet I en viss rythm. Det ger bra blodflöde/ skapar en lugn reaktion.
