Does a being on the picket line and on strike with the union count.

I was was part of union of Machinists
1992 United States railroad strike

LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
A total of three now.

The Anonymous Million Mask March in Portland on November 5th, 2014 was my first ever. Unfortunately, I had a serious falling out with a guy who was a regular at Anonymous functions, so I stopped attending because I didn't want to run into him.

Then I was at the 50150 protest in Salem this year. (That's 50 states, 50 protests, 1 movement. They literally timed all the protests across the country to happen at the same time.) Turnout was huge.

Then this past Thursday I attended a smallish one in Tigard.

@LordShadowfire
You sound like a trouble maker to me.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@swirlie I know. Especially with the last one, being put on by an outfit called Good Trouble Lives On.

@LordShadowfire
I use to date bad actors like you, then I turned all puritan and remained unfulfilled ever since.
4meAndyou · F
I was invited to one, once, when I was in college. I declined, because I do not believe in abortion.
Bri89 · 36-40, M
No, I have not. It doesn't seem like my type of scene.
Yes. Several, going back to when I used to go with family to anti-war and pro-civil rights marches and sit-ins.
LinuxBreaksWindows · 26-30, M
I went to a few Free Palestine protests.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@LinuxBreaksWindows I'm probably going to go to a couple of those this year. Good Trouble Lives On covers a lot of things that desperately need to be protested.
Yes, I have been to a few.
@swirlie Not really! I have some photos, but, protective of my online privacy as I am, I won't post pictures from where I live. So vagueness is the order of the day!
swirlie · 31-35
@ElwoodBlues
Oh, so you're operating under the radar at all times then, huh?!
@swirlie Depends on the radar!
Nitedoc · 51-55, M
No. We didn't protest when I was in college.
uncalled4 · 56-60, M
Nope. Those who do are expressing their right to do so, but it's not for me.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
Yeah but not because i cared about to subject. We just sat on the grass at the government building. Alot of other people were there for the same thing.

Like a day at the beach

Just the little one in Chicago at the Democratic Convention in 1968. I was 18 and I thought I was gonna die!
craig7 · 70-79, M
@hunkalove Yes,I remember that "little" one - it was headline news here in Australia for several days.
hunkalove · 70-79, M
@craig7 The whole world was watching!
craig7 · 70-79, M
@hunkalove Yes,people across the world had already been looking on with astonishment at the events of that dramatic year of 1968,before the upheaval at Chicago in the last week of August.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
In my country, yes
MasterLee · 56-60, M
One. But it was very peaceful. Everyone was armed so no one misbehaved.
KingofBones1 · 46-50, M
No I have not and I have not put one down either
emiliya · 22-25, F
No. Why would I?
ArishMell · 70-79, M
Before what? :-)

I have never been on any protest, demonstration, strike, picket-line, march or other (usually-pointless) expression of vexity.
samueltyler2 · 80-89, M
Yes, in the past civil rights was a big draw, now it is no king in the US.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
Several, always the same reason.

@Allelse A lot of people use it as a slur. But even though the algorithm appears to have made me mute you, I don't see anything in your history that would indicate that you were using it in any way other than innocently.
Allelse · 36-40, M
@LordShadowfire I don't have a problem with transexuals, I mean you don't see them putting people in concentration camps and death camps.
HorrorandMusic · 26-30, FNew
Do internet protests count?
Yes. Oddly enough about the significance of today and the Turkish invasion on Cyprus.
swirlie · 31-35
Yes, every single day of my teen years when I showed up to high school each morning.
thepeculiarpanda · 36-40, M
Not yet. The way things are going though, it could definitely happen in the future.
GerOttman · 70-79, M
Yep, nuclear plant. they built it anyway!
