Mexico outlawed slavery before America did.

The medical experiments performed on enslaved people, by the burgeoning medical community. They paid slave-owners to use men, women and even children for surgical procedures—while they were alive and often without anesthesia.

The Indians weren't invited to the first Thanksgiving feast. The Wampanoag tribe had previously entered a strategic alliance with the Pilgrims where they would aid each other against other Indian tribes. They knew that the English had guns, so they sent one of their English-speaking members to cozy up to them and build some trust.
The Pilgrims had a brutal first year in the New World, losing half of their people from famine and disease. So when their first harvest was a success, they were so ecstatic that they started firing their guns off into the air.
The Wampanoag heard all the gunshots and thought they were being attacked, so they sent 90 of their men over. Once they figured out what was happening, they went out and killed 5 deer to bring some venison to the feast

@TinyViolins Another fun fact is that after the feast, they had a difficult winter, because they ate a little too much of the food they had harvested.

That during the cold war with Russia Canada forced/tricked it’s Inuit people to relocate to the arctic circle to be used as human flag poles. Then when the Inuit people said – hey you tricked us – were out of here – the RCMP slaughterer their sled dogs.
Cheers!

I think people would be shocked to know most historical facts are interrupted by others
If you want a clearer idea of history read historical first-hand accounts.

"During the Second World War, around 11 million Slavs have been systematically murdered by Nazi forces in a war of extermination in Eastern Europe. Part of Generalplan Ost, the extermination was aimed not just at forcing Slavs into slave labour, but at physically exterminating big parts of the Slavic people. These murders were planned by the Nazi leaders. Although the Second World War and its horrors are a big part of our contemporary society, the genocide on the Slavs has been kept remarkably silent." -- THE FORGOTTEN HOLOCAUST Lennart Lens, Leiden University

Climate change from the presence or absence of greenhouse gasses has killed north of 70% of all living things on this earth four, maybe five times. That we know of.

Child trafficking was a biblical problem throughout the Bible. Even out right selling as gifts (later termed dowry).

@DeWayfarer That happened in the U.S. It wasn’t unheard of for planters to give their children land, livestock and slaves as wedding gifts.

Everything we know about the stages of hypothermia is a direct result of Nazi medical experiments.
Yeah. People were tortured for that information.

Just how much food Henry the 8th would eat each day. What the Apaches like to do to their enemies or that Japanese expirement unit during WW2, the one that did tests on people. How badly they messed up any form Indian relief during the many famines in India during British rule. British and Indian local rule alike. The plauge of Justinian. The Taiping rebellion, that was a laugh for all involved. How many Christian saints there are and all the stupid stories behind how they became saints. What a jerk Charley Chaplin was.

King George III didn’t raise taxes against Americans.
LordShadowfire · 46-50, M
@Fukfacewillie That's true. The problem the colonists had was that the taxes were being levied and they weren't getting any representation.
