What’s a historical fact that would shock most people to find out?

That during the cold war with Russia Canada forced/tricked it’s Inuit people to relocate to the arctic circle to be used as human flag poles. Then when the Inuit people said – hey you tricked us – were out of here – the RCMP slaughterer their sled dogs.
