Have you ever appeared on TV or been in the newspapers for something you have done?

I did a search on myself about 2 weeks ago and was shocked to find myself mentioned in several obituaries in the newspaper. I never knew about this. Families thanking me for taking care of their loved ones.

As a child I appeared on The Mayor Art Show (a local SF events show) with my Girl Scout Troop.
And a reporter once stopped me at a Grateful Dead outdoor concert; I was wearing a bold tie-dyed dress. She complimented it and asked if I was enjoying the concert (I was).

And I still have that dress. 😎

The local newspaper used to carry reports of sporting and artistic events at our school. I had a colour photo when I won an all round medal in gymnastics 🤸‍♀

Many years ago I was on the local Bowling For Dollars show, held at Forum Bowling Center in Grand Prairie, TX.
WFAA Channel 8 had the show and Verne Lundquist was the host.

I grew up in a town of 25,000 with a daily newspaper (except Sunday). I was in the newspaper a lot because of sports. They covered everything from Little League through high school. I have a scrapbook of clippings.

I won a Invention Convention Competition in the 5th grade by sewing two beach towels together, trimming the square and hemming a circle.

The sun moves...ect. .

Around 1990, my first grade class was on channels 5 & 8 in Dallas. A few years before, our teacher signed up for a NASA project that involved tomato seeds going into space. But the seeds were in space longer than expected

After our appearance in a high school baseball championship game I was interviewed, as I was a coach

I was on Eggheads. We didn't win, but we had fun!

I have never been so unfortunate under any circumstances! 🙃
