Nineteen thousand children have been orphaned in Gaza.

The world looks on.

Please focus on positive suggestions as to how to move forward.

I’ve suggested a few in the main body of the post from a British perspective

Pray for peace and reconciliation in the Palestine.

Lobby the British government to make a more neutral stance.

Support David Cameron in his attempt to get humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. And his attempt to recognise Palestine as a State.

Support aid agencies financially. Including Christian aid and the UN.

Adopt them out. Stop the child abuse of training them to hate and kill.
ArtieKat · M
@22Michelle If you had read the headline of this thread which @sunriselover started
Nineteen thousand children have been orphaned in Gaza.
you might appreciate that what @MasterLee suggested had nothing to do with forcible adoption.
So is this just one side doing the forced adoption, both sides adopting each other's children, and how do you think parents would react to their children being taken from them? Let alone how those children may grow up seriously damaged and angry at being stolen from their real parents?
@ArtieKat As I suggested the Islamic community could adopt many. But that may lead to later resentment. Just as the British government allows 100 000 fit young African men into the country as so called asylum seekers.

In fact Britain could temporarily adopt
them all, instead of poking its nose in the Middle East with missiles and drones.

Morvoren · F
You only care because it’s televised.

Nobody gives a shit about war orphans in Sudan, Burma and Yemen.
Really · 80-89, M
@Morvoren How come I can see your arrogant post after I blocked you?

Bumbles · 51-55, M
@Morvoren The double standard against Israel is rank leftist anti-Semitism.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
Hamas and UNRWA caused all of this. Blame them. Sue Norway.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover Hamas leaders told us what they feel children have as a role in their wealth.
@IronHamster And so these children suffer. Homeless, injured, and starving.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover Hamas caused all of this and could end it all in two hours, right? Israel provided Gaza with free utilities, until Hamas decided to act on their genocidal desires.
IronHamster · 56-60, M

Gosh. Don't you wish SOMEBODY could do something? Hmmm.
zorroo · 56-60, M
@IronHamster you may add Arafat $ 6 B.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@zorroo Yasser's youthful hajib-bimbo made bank on that limp dick.
zorroo · 56-60, M
Question please, who initiated the war on 7th Oct?
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@InOtterWords I continually give this guy his 'freedom of expression' but he abuses it again and again.
And i don't block him because then everyone else can see what he posts and can call him out on his b/s
@Picklebobble2 it's just when he starts with the abuse and the name calling.... ive had an awful day and just do not need some prick on the internet to make me feel any worse about myself
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@InOtterWords I totally understand and I'd have blocked him myself long ago (like so many similars) but for me i use him as an educational tool for anyone else out there considering doing the same
Puppycat23 · F
Eventually a decision will have to be made in this war. Instead of dragging this on for the rest of 2024, Hamas (and other terrorist groups in Gaza) should return all the hostages that are still alive and surrender, as their organization is pretty much finished.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@22Michelle Maybe somebody should have not picked a fight they could not win.
@IronHamster The behaviour of Hamas was beyond the depths of human cruelty. And the Islamic world should have come out expressing their revulsion. They did not.

But that is not the focus of this post. Twenty thousand children are now homeless, some in medical need, without parents. What is the world going to do about it?

Positive suggestions please.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover Why don't you adopt two or five of them?
Ontheroad · M
I get what you are saying, but the problem isn't as simple as you want to believe. There can be no peace in Palestine until Hamas is destroyed.
@sunriselover I personally know some xtian Arabs, in laws of my late ex fiancee's older son, they're even bigger antisemites than the klan, they're from Lebanon.
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters The ones I know, their patriarch fought during the early 80's Lebanese civil war in the Beirut xtian militia, he sent his wife and children to Paris during the fighting, going to New York, then settled in Las Vegas. He lost his inport/export business worth millions.
22Michelle · 61-69, T
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters And chrustians arabsxare treated tge samexas muslims by them Israelis.
ArtieKat · M
All because a load of religious nutters can't live in peace with their neighbours and would rather sacrifice their own people.
@IronHamster I think I can do what I like on my own post. And you are invited to make positive suggestions concerning the plight of the orphaned children

Some positive suggestions are emerging.

Firstly the children could be air lifted and fostered.
Secondly the UK could open its doors to all of them.

But what is coming through too is that it will take a long time for peace to break through
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover Are you open to solutions like prosecuting supporters of UNRWA and Hamas for crimes against humanity, and taking the children away from the mothers that bred them to become guided bombs and human shields?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@sunriselover not the US, not UK. Send them to singapore or some other islamic nation willing to take them.
It’s so sad, it’s always the innocent civilians that suffer during war. Those poor kids. Absolutely heartbreaking.
@CrystalSkull The real problem is that they do not care to fix anything, because the global military industrial complex makes beaucoup bucks from it all, yes, it is all about money.
@NativePortlander1970 It’s always about the money. One just has to follow that and there’s the truth. I wish I was or anybody was so smart and good that they could think of a way to end all this human conflict everywhere. For everyone, so that we could all live our lives in harmony and peace. Not going to happen though, is it?
@CrystalSkull No, sadly, it's never going to happen.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
Palestinian aid. Check this out...

@IronHamster and we know who is getting the money and what they're using it for ..... www.hamas.com 😡
Do I remember correctly that you wrote the same kind of post when Bashar Assad was killing hundreds of thousands of his own people , right ?
@BridgeOvertroubledWaters No, I only joined a few months ago. Please restrict your views to the title of the post.

Mock me if you must.
@sunriselover not mocking , just wondering.
did you post anything about the Hamas pogrom on 7/10 ?
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover But, you DO condemn Assad and Turkey and Iran for killing Muslims, right?

@jshm2 Do you know that Universities used to teach courses on brainwashing? Do you know how to identify traits of brainwashing? Do you know that someone who is brainwashed doesn't even know they are brainwashed?
@jshm2 I wonder why you resort to personal words like "dumbass" "dimwhit" ???
try and answer questions.
I meant that according to you they should have gassed all of the Jews instead of not finishing the job as result of which Israel became a state.
22Michelle · 61-69, T
Sadly I find myself occasionally thinking that the whole Palestine, including Israel and the West Bank should be walled off and left to their own devices until and unless they come to a peaceful solution. It is an intractable issue where both sides claim both ownership of the land, "God's" support and that they are they are the oppressed people. This war has been ongoing for over 75 years. Again, sadly, I dont see any solution, though I would like to see all countries stopping arms sales to the Middle East.
Fluffybull · F
Extinguish Hamas. That's a start
@Fluffybull no easy solutions, the world is very unstable at the moment.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@sunriselover These guys made it unstable. Everyone supporting them should be deported to third world middle east shitholes.
ArtieKat · M
@sunriselover: what has the Archbishop of Canterbury done to upset you?
ArtieKat · M
@sunriselover Are you one of those Christians who believe that Our Lord was crucified by the Jews so that is justification for being anti-Israel?
@ArtieKat Certainly not, but we are not here to discuss my faith. We are here to discuss the plight of orphans in the Gaza Strip.
ArtieKat · M
Eventually we either make war impractical and stop arming each conflict, or we have this kind of thing.
@Roundandroundwego The global military industrial complex will never let their money makers go away.
@NativePortlander1970 they're not easily contained, but we definitely pose a threat.
@NativePortlander1970 Just human beings going about their daily business. Please focus on positive suggestions.
@sunriselover Does this look like "daily business" to you?
As I suggested the Islamic community could adopt many. But that may lead to later resentment. Just as the British government allows 100 000 fit young African men into the country as so called asylum seekers.
How is that connected ? 🤨
@sunriselover Yeah, that ship sailed with colonialism and "empire-building" throughout the world.
@bijouxbroussard But I don’t think the USA has any understanding of the Middle East either.

Still this is not helping here.

There are twenty thousand orphans to consider. The ficus of my post.
@sunriselover There are Americans of Middle Eastern descent here who have ideas and opinions. Our government sides with Israel, though.
Re: the twenty thousand orphans in this situation, what would you suggest ?
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M
What are we going to do about those kids who've been trained to chop heads off chickens they named Shmuel?
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M
@sunriselover seriously though I'm making a point. training little kids to be murderers is not acceptable.
@lumberjackslam Which is what I fear the Isreali occupation will lead to. A people with no hope, watched on by a world that does not care.
lumberjackslam · 41-45, M
@sunriselover they abuse their children horrifically because the Israelis forced them to do it?

No that's not it.
Why don't we all get up and revolt? We do we play their game?
CestManan · 46-50, F
This might sound dumb but what are they at war over?
WCNSF

A new acronym has been coined by medical staff and aid agencies in gaza. It stands for Wounded Child, No Surviving Family.

💔

I hope Cameron will bring a change.... but he has failed Britain before.
@InOtterWords Yes, Cameron did fail, but he is the best we have. Richie rightly accepts that there is no one suitable in the House of Commons. And Cameron has contacts.

Labour’s Foreign Affairs spokesperson is a member of ‘Friends of Israel’. Nothing wrong with that, but he can hardly give a balanced view.
Elanor · F
Yeah it feels shi’tty just looking on but what else can we do 🫡
@Elanor Pray for peace and reconciliation.

Lobby the British government to take a more neutral stance.

Support David Cameron in his attempts to get humanitarian aid there. And his attempt to recognise Palestine.

Support aid organisations.
ArtieKat · M
@sunriselover
Support aid organisations.
Which teach hate not reconciliation?
Tough shit, their parents shouldn't have been terrorists
