Nineteen thousand children have been orphaned in Gaza.

The world looks on.

Please focus on positive suggestions as to how to move forward.

I’ve suggested a few in the main body of the post from a British perspective

Pray for peace and reconciliation in the Palestine.

Lobby the British government to make a more neutral stance.

Support David Cameron in his attempt to get humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. And his attempt to recognise Palestine as a State.

Support aid agencies financially. Including Christian aid and the UN.

Eventually a decision will have to be made in this war. Instead of dragging this on for the rest of 2024, Hamas (and other terrorist groups in Gaza) should return all the hostages that are still alive and surrender, as their organization is pretty much finished.

@Puppycat23 The "war" started over 75 years ago. This is just the latest skirmish. At some point it will die down, but until both sides can learn to live peacefully and productively together the war will continue.

@22Michelle Palestinian supporters forget a lot of details. The war started over a hundred years ago. Before that, Jews were paying outrageous prices to Turks for land the Turks believed was worthless. When the Jews made the land profitable, the Muslims became upset and began wiping out whole Jewish villages, men, women, and children. At no time has any Jewish reprisal been so destructive.

@IronHamster
Palestinian supporters forget a lot of details
Absolutely.

@IronHamster So the Nakba, over 700,000 Palestinians forced to flee and have no right of return, their lands exoropriated. The ongoing occupation of the West Bank with the expansion of Jewish settlements, the current destruction of Gaza, these are not "destructive" Jewish reprisals?
Isn't this the real issue. Two sides who can cherry pick the evils visited upon them by the other side, can trace the war back further and further, who see no solution other than the total destruction of the other side. And who deny the evils they have visited on the other side!

@22Michelle The choice to murder all Jews in Palestine was made. They chose and they lost. The loss of land is the cost of losing a war, especially a war of eugenics.

@22Michelle Maybe somebody should have not picked a fight they could not win.
@IronHamster The behaviour of Hamas was beyond the depths of human cruelty. And the Islamic world should have come out expressing their revulsion. They did not.

But that is not the focus of this post. Twenty thousand children are now homeless, some in medical need, without parents. What is the world going to do about it?

Positive suggestions please.

@sunriselover Why don't you adopt two or five of them?
