Nineteen thousand children have been orphaned in Gaza.

The world looks on.

Please focus on positive suggestions as to how to move forward.

I’ve suggested a few in the main body of the post from a British perspective

Pray for peace and reconciliation in the Palestine.

Lobby the British government to make a more neutral stance.

Support David Cameron in his attempt to get humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. And his attempt to recognise Palestine as a State.

Support aid agencies financially. Including Christian aid and the UN.

Question please, who initiated the war on 7th Oct?
@zorroo Again, please make positive suggestions as to how to move forward. It is not a blame game post.

@sunriselover If you want to stop the war immediately, ask Hamas to return the kidnapped people.
@zorroo I think they are going to.
The negotiators from Qatar, Egypt and the USA are working very hard to achieve this.
There are a lot of level headed people out there.
No one, including Iran wants to widen the conflict.

The British counterterrorism people have been brilliant so far too. But it only takes one lone wolf to exacerbate the situation. Islamophobia and anti Semitism can not be tolerated. It’s a delicate balance.
@zorroo this crisis did not begin on Oct 7th. What happened on that day was horrific and awful but the genocide that israel has committed since is so much worse.
25000 palestinian civilians have been murdered, since Oct 7th.... there are not even this many Israeli deaths since 1948.

I am not anti-semitic or anti-israel. I do think Israel has a right to exist but they have continuously driven Palenstinians out of their homes. This genocide is a result of neither the Israelis or the Parlstinians being able to negotiate a 2 state border and with neither area wanting peace. You cannot say that one side is wholly to blame and the other is faultless but if there is any humanity in you then you will feel the despondancy that so many children are slaughtered, wounded and left orphaned and nothing about that is right.

@zorroo simple and correct answer

@zorroo funny how no one wants to address this. The displaced Jordanians never wanted peace.
@InOtterWords So then, if it's a genocide, where are the mass graves of palestinians shot before ditches and against walls, hmm?
@NativePortlander1970 is that your definition of a genocide?

@NativePortlander1970 do you understand what led to tge october attack. How Netanahyu has let Israel lead a pogrom on the west bank and displace palestinians and continue to bomb gaza. I am not saying the attack was the right thing to do, i say both are in the wrong but the tragic slaughter of 1200 people is nothing like the slaughter of 25000

@InOtterWords I continually give this guy his 'freedom of expression' but he abuses it again and again.
And i don't block him because then everyone else can see what he posts and can call him out on his b/s
@Picklebobble2 it's just when he starts with the abuse and the name calling.... ive had an awful day and just do not need some prick on the internet to make me feel any worse about myself
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
@InOtterWords I totally understand and I'd have blocked him myself long ago (like so many similars) but for me i use him as an educational tool for anyone else out there considering doing the same
