@NeddyKelly I love Pink Floyd but …..
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@NeddyKelly best group in the world. 2nd is Led Zeppelin.

Sidewinder · 36-40, M
When it comes to musical preferences, I like a bit of everything.

The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, you name it, I like it.

Some of my favourite songs in the Rock and Roll Genre include... (in no particular order)

•Truckin' - The Grateful Dead.
•In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida - Iron Butterfly.
•Don't Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult.
•Iron Man - Black Sabbath.
•2000 Light Years From Home - The Rolling Stones.
•Revolution - The Beatles.
•Interstellar Overdrive - Pink Floyd.
•Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin.
•Itchycoo Park - Small Faces.
•White Rabbit - Jefferson Airplane.
•Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry.
•Great Balls of Fire - Jerry Lee Lewis.
•My Generation - The Who.
•Good Vibrations - The Beach Boys.
•She's Not There - The Zombies.
•Daydream Believer - The Monkees.

...And THAT'S only my short list.

@Sidewinder I’ve seen 6 of your choices in concert.
Lopaka55 · 70-79, M
@Sidewinder
You forgot Baby, It's You. 1969-ish, by Smith. About the only time a Beatles version got blown away. SO GOOD! 🙂
@Sidewinder I agree with most of your list!! And you might want to check out one or another version of Morning Dew.

The Beatles are my choice, too. I discovered the Stones much later and do like several of their songs, but I’ve loved the Beatles since I was a child.
Beatles. Stones are great for raising the mood & energy, but the Beatles move me more.
Degbeme · 70-79, M
Zonuss · 46-50, M
Neither.
Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin were way better.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@fun4us2b do you recognize my screen name?
fun4us2b · M
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@fun4us2b it’s from the Anderson Wakeman Bruford Howe album. The song Brother of Mine.
The Dave Clark Five!
lissah · 36-40, F
Stones. I seen them 3 times.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@lissah 1x for me (before you were born).
lissah · 36-40, F
@4thdimensiondream last time i seen them i was on the 8th row. I flashed Mick Jagger and he flashed me back.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@lissah big time 👏
Monalisasmith86 · 36-40, F
I prefer the stones sound better
Lopaka55 · 70-79, M
I have had all the Beatles stuff in several formats including 1/4" reel back in my day, and I also have had a lot of Stones greatest hits. And they were all great friends in Liverpool and my Sister in Law Kate Runyon and Bro in Law Dave Runyon live in Livermore, California. 😎
ChipmunkErnie · 70-79, M
Stones. The Beatles did some great stuff, but also a ton of bland pop crap.
EldritchFox · 41-45, F
Wild horses is the only song I like out of any of them
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@EldritchFox great song.
IM5688 · 70-79, M
Beatles. I always thought the Stones were over rated.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Stones every day and twice on sunday.
In an outtake of the movie "Pulp Fiction", the debate was Elvis or The Beatles. The composer Kurt Weill, said there was just two types of music. Good and bad.
Docdon23 · M
Beatles, easy
exexec · 70-79, C
Gibbon · 70-79, M
Oh I hate this because I didn't like them back then. They both got on the charts playing others music and to me the stones had a better sound and grove but the mop heads became more original. So to the general public they win
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@4thdimensiondream but they did nothing to beat this sound and riff in my opinion. Then three years later. Keith could really cut it

4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Gibbon I know many that agree with you. The Stones definitely had a harder raw edge. They were more rock n roll. But the Beatles could write songs.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@4thdimensiondream yeah had a music teacher in junior high school who was all gaga over Sargent Pepper
I equally hate both
noexpectations1 · 46-50, M
Stones, 100%
AbstractWave · 61-69, M
Both are great very different from each other.
stones. beatles suck!
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Punxi · F
Both are in totally different vibes in my opinion.

But if I had to pick a deserted island, one collection only....

Stones.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Punxi I hope there is electricity on the island.
Punxi · F
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Punxi I love that film. Especially the end.
Musicman · 61-69, M
The Beatles for sure! No question about it.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Musicman and you should know as you are the musicman!
Musicman · 61-69, M
@4thdimensiondream Exactly! What else needs to be said. 😎🎸🎸🎸
unregisteredhypercam4 · 22-25, M
Beatles. I prefer the complexity disguised a pop
SleepingWithGhosts · 46-50, M
Not a fan of either. *runs away as quickly as possible *
tenente · 36-40, M
🪲 tried rolling a beetle, didn't work ☹ just ran away while I cried 😭 0/5 would not recommend 👎
Ferise1 · 46-50, M
Which band is still playing? That’s the better band.
4thdimensiondream · 70-79, M
@Ferise1 I dont like this logic! But one pt for The Rolling Stones
