@room101 the cold war factored into it pretty big. It was never central, but it was often an important component to the plot.

@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP Not in any significant way, particularly in the films. The Cold War, Russia, North Korea et al were all backdrops to the central narrative of Spectre and its various members and/or affiliates.

@Nimbus It seems he wasn’t prepared for the simple life. And marrying a power-hungry high-maintenance woman is not helping. For example, if you want to make your money go farther, don’t buy a mansion, the utilities, property taxes, insurance, and hired help would cost way more than what they need to live on otherwise.

@room101 There will be more Bond films, and a new James Bond as usual... Daniel Craig's films were seen as their own 'arc' of films from his first to his last so won't affect any others going forward.

@helsbels Agreed. I liked the way his films were a bit of a mini-series within the whole collection.

@helsbels That would be a significant break from how the franchise has operated since it began in the 1960's.
