Some unpleasant things i've noticed.

About this site. It's horrible in some ways.

1. I've seen new members get bashed on for no reason, accused of being another account/fishes/bots/cansoftuna etc. Leave them alone. While some might be old accounts, why assume all of them are? High school bullying nonsense.

2. Some a-hola disagreed with me on one of my posts, then blocked me, and get this .. now they are gathering their "gang", telling lies about me, spreading false rumors, and dragging my name in the mud. Another stupid high school bully nonsense.
-- The point here is, it happened to me, so i'm sure it's happening to many others. Bullying needs to stop --

3. Some people appear really nice, but they take the opportunity to talk really bad about someone else, while being really sweet to that person in their posts. Like wuttt kind of snake are you? High school childish snake.

Those are probably some of the reasons why some new members dont last here, and probably why some older members chose to leave.

Keep it up and the end result will not be good, for anyone including the bullies/snakes.

This place used to be so much more accepting. I really have to wonder what number 2 type people’s real life is like if they put so much energy into someone they had an online interaction with lol. But I guess that’s why they’re here, looking for someone to tolerate them.

No, there's no law that all posts have to be in English. If you don't like it and/or don't want to participate, keep scrolling.

I choose to speak Dutch and some speak in Spanish - it doesn't hurt you in any way, so, why does it have to be an issue???

@Sojournersoul The thing is that I am fortunate enough to have friends who will step in and speak up for me... just imagine what it would be like if I didn't know English and wasn't well connected to this place.

I have no problem with blocking people now - but when I was new, I wanted everyone to be my friend...

All of these erode the river bed of trust and integrity.

Bullying and gossip goes a lot behind posts.

I've had accusations of being this person and that person but I've only ever used one account at a time and it's always been clear that it's me. I don't have any secret alts, there's just no need. I'm a dickhead on my known accounts! 😐

All that's happened to me, too. You'll earn someone's confidence after they tell you they're non-judgmental, tell them something they want to know about you, then they'll slam-dunk you and spread rumors about you. It's sickening. I'm so discrete about what I tell people about myself now.

Yep that was kind of my first experience. I came from Yahoo answers and I figured I would make an introductory post. I was getting lots of views and good replies and then I got someone on my post saying I'm an alt, then they are telling people not to believe me being new that I'm an alt.

So I reported them, admins shortly thereafter took care of the situation and then I blocked them. I guess honesty and trust doesn't exist anymore.

Like V00d00 said it's women tearing other women Down.... and it is so easy to get caught up in that .... trying to defend the people that are being harassed i have retaliated in a way that probably isn't best ....
What i have noticed is that people who come to you and slag off others or constantly post negatively about someone are usually the ones at fault.
Peeps need to live and let live.

Unfortunately , that occurs very often. They are trying to get past being blocked in their main account by creating an alt (NEW) account. I have seen it so many times, an so have many others .. hence the wariness

Couldn't have said it better myself. Many of the popular regulars we have here are that to a tee. I can't tell who's worse, them or the people who know damn well how shitty they are, but just keep on kissing their asses. All of them are quick to decry bullying and harassment, but then become just as quick to support it so long as it's the right person doing it.

I felt the change from when it use to be more inclusive to what it is now. Like, you might not agree with someone, but then you'd leave that person alone and not interact with them. These days though, someone mistakes someone else's intent and it's nearly all out war.

There are trolls and catfish and just plain miserable people. Using the block and mute buttons are a good thing for that problem. This sort of thing is common on social media. I am seeing more of it in Facebook too.

You’re doing a really good job. I haven’t been here as much because I am tired of it and I am not getting as much joy as I once did here.

Your complaints are valid, but not unique to this site. This is the case on every social media site or forum.
Best course of action is ignore such people. Or block. But blocking is something I don't do myself as I think even that is giving them too much attention.

@FeetAreFantastic I have managed to avoid all forms of social media simply because my mind was not in the right place to handle anything heavy .. I thought this would be light and nice.
It is light and nice in many ways .. but yeah that darker side is there too unfortunately.
I feel the same way as you about blocking, it's why i never block :)
