Some unpleasant things i've noticed.

About this site. It's horrible in some ways.

1. I've seen new members get bashed on for no reason, accused of being another account/fishes/bots/cansoftuna etc. Leave them alone. While some might be old accounts, why assume all of them are? High school bullying nonsense.

2. Some a-hola disagreed with me on one of my posts, then blocked me, and get this .. now they are gathering their "gang", telling lies about me, spreading false rumors, and dragging my name in the mud. Another stupid high school bully nonsense.
-- The point here is, it happened to me, so i'm sure it's happening to many others. Bullying needs to stop --

3. Some people appear really nice, but they take the opportunity to talk really bad about someone else, while being really sweet to that person in their posts. Like wuttt kind of snake are you? High school childish snake.

Those are probably some of the reasons why some new members dont last here, and probably why some older members chose to leave.

Keep it up and the end result will not be good, for anyone including the bullies/snakes.

Now you may return to your daily happyness. Thanks for reading and please accept this gift.

You missed the "We speak English here" brigade...

They enjoy replying to every non English post they see "We speak English here".

No, there's no law that all posts have to be in English. If you don't like it and/or don't want to participate, keep scrolling.

I choose to speak Dutch and some speak in Spanish - it doesn't hurt you in any way, so, why does it have to be an issue???
@HootyTheNightOwl I just hit the translate button.
@Sojournersoul Exactly... I'm not proficient in Dutch myself yet - so I will translate the replies I get from my friends if I just want to verify a translation.

They should be grateful to have the translate option - because it never made it into inbox messages. I still have to copy and paste those replies into translate...
@HootyTheNightOwl It is not hard. I like to see other languages posted.
@Sojournersoul I know that it's no one else's business, but I prefer to converse in Dutch.

Given that I live with abuse from soon to be ex, it makes sense for me to speak in a language that others around me don't understand - that way, my internet logs are of less use to most people in my life.

The problem then is that the German speakers used to find it fun to reply to me in German with irrelevant information - so my friends and I had to chase them off.

It's funny that they go to these lengths to make you feel uncomfortable being here... just because you choose not to post in English.
@HootyTheNightOwl I ignore those and move on. You cant control those who do it, they are ignorant.
@Sojournersoul The thing is that I am fortunate enough to have friends who will step in and speak up for me... just imagine what it would be like if I didn't know English and wasn't well connected to this place.

I have no problem with blocking people now - but when I was new, I wanted everyone to be my friend...
@HootyTheNightOwl You do have plenty that will speak up and glad you do. I have learn to use it well too.
