@hippyjoe1955 they have been very famous for decades. Sean Bean was the blonde main bad guy in National treasure with Nic Cage. and Mark Addy was on that tv show Still Standing . plus they were both in alot of other tv and movies.

@TexChik he’s alone on an island in WW2 and he falls for a woman from the island or something? Ever see Operation Petticoat?

@4thdimensiondream He was a drunken playboy down on his luck and got bamboozled by the British Navy into being a coast watcher (they "accidentally" damaged his boat with the promise to fix it ...after the war)

Then a School marm and her flock of students (all girls) fell into his lap on the island while evading the Japanese. They ended up coexisting on the island until a crisis forced them off. Very cute, good acting, and writing...and Cary Grant! 😉

You're exceptionally privileged to have seen this in its cinema debut. Those were the heydays of the silver screen!
When theaters were opulent, and attending a film was a reverent & refined affair.

And here I merely viewed it via TCM, on a 32'' screen..no ushers, velvet ropes, or balcony seating.
